SVS School of Architecture, Coimbatore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has two boys' hostels that have the capacity to accommodate 1000 boys. The hostels are provided with modern amenities such as a wooden cot, mattresses with pillows, individual cupboards, etc. An entertainment hall with LCD TV, a reading room, and indoor game facilities are some of the distinct features.

The college has one girls' hostel with the capacity to accommodate 400 girls. The college library has a knowledge trove for students in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, and construction. The library boasts 2600 volumes and 1600 titles across various streams in addition to a subscription to more than 30 national and international journals. The library is digitized with a dedicated leased line connection for accessing OPAC and storing and retrieving high-density printed collections. The e-books and e-journals support the learning and research needs of the students and the faculty members. In addition, a unique collection of useful standalone open-access online journals and e-books from the internet are made available to the users on our campus.

The college climatology lab is equipped with a comprehensive weather station, rain gauge, barometer, anemometer, solarimeter, and dry bulb thermometer. The students and faculty members use these instruments for their study and research. The electrical lab displays various lighting fixtures, MCBs, ELCBs, Isolators, switches of different amperages, etc. The lab also details basic electrical circuits for simple residences.

The College has an acoustically designed auditorium that can accommodate 300 persons at any given time. The auditorium becomes lively during the display of students' activities.

The College has the facility of a spacious and hygienic cafeteria that caters to the taste of all students. It can conveniently accommodate 150 students at a time. The cafeteria is provided with modern furniture, electrical cooking, and storage facilities which provide delicious breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages both for students and staff at reasonable rates.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The College has a fully air-conditioned computer laboratory separately for both bachelor's and master's with more than 60 computers that are configured with the latest operating system. Each computer is installed with various software packages like the latest version of Auto CAD, Revit, 3D Studio Max, and other software that are related to architecture. In addition to this, the computer lab at SVS SOA is equipped with color printers, an A1 size color plotter, a scanner, a photocopier, and an LCD projector. These labs are provided with internet connectivity to facilitate the students ' research and presentation work.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college provides round-the-clock ATMs (Lakshmi Vilas Bank and Indian Overseas Bank) facilities both for the students and staff members. They can withdraw the money at any point in time without hassles. The public also can use the ATMs at any time

The College provides its own transportation for students and staff residing outside the campus. The Institute has 16 buses for the benefit of the day's scholar students and staff. The transport facility is available from various places in Coimbatore, Pollachi, Udumalpet, Tirupur, and Palakkad to the institute on all working days. The bus facilities are being utilized for local visits and educational trips.
