TDMC Alappuzha Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

T.D. Medical College, Alappuzha (TDMC Alappuzha) is an illustrious medical institution affiliated with the government in Kerala, India. The college has a strict and competitive entry process to select the best and most deserving candidates for various medical programs. The institution is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur. The admission cycle of TDMC Alappuzha usually begins in May-June every year for an academic session that commences from the following August-September. The institute admits students through national-level competitiveness examinations according to the types of entrants they want. 

For the undergraduate programs, the scores received from JEE Advanced are deemed, while for those at postgraduate level, they are considered through ways like NEET-PG and NEET-SS through which admissions are confirmed . The basic eligibility criterion for the MBBS program is the successful completion of 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. Usually, a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying examination is required. Those applying for postgraduate courses should have completed their MBBS from an Indian university.

Application Process

The application process at TDMC Alappuzha will be different depending on the degree being pursued:

For applying for MBBS:

1. Qualify NEET-UG examination.
2. Register for state counseling on the ground of NEET-UG rank.
3. Choose TDMC Alappuzha and preferred course during the counseling process.
4. If allotted with a seat, report to the college for document verification and fee payment.

For MD/MS programs:

1. Qualify NEET-PG examination.
2. Register for state PG medical counseling.
3. Attend counseling process and select TDMC Alappuzha if eligible.
4. If allotted a seat fulfill admission process.

For DM/M.Ch programs:

1. Score well on NEET-SS examination.
2. Participate in MCC's centralized counseling.
3. Choose TDMC Alappuzha & desired super-specialty course in the counseling process.
4. Finish off the admission process if chosen.

Degree-wise Admission Process

MBBS: The college offers 175 seats under the MBBS program. Admission is based on the score attained by a candidate in the NEET-UG. It is compulsory for candidates to clear their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology so as to be eligible for the program and should have common qualifications of NEET-UG.

MD/MS: There are many options in MD and MS programs offered by TDMC Alappuzha along with their respective intake capacities:

1. MD General Medicine: 16 Seats
2. MD Paediatrics: 9 Seats
3. MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology: 8 Seats
4. MD Anaesthesiology: 4 Seats
5. MD Radiodiagnosis: 4 Seats
6. Other MD/MS includes 1-3 seats each

Admission to the MD/MS courses would be based on the NEET-PG score. Candidates should have completed MBBS with any recognized university for eligibility.

DM/M.Ch: It has its specialized super-specialty courses such as the following:

1. DM Cardiology: 3 Seats
2. DM Nephrology: 2 Seats
3. DM Neurology: 2 Seats
4. M.Ch Neuro Surgery: 2 Seats
5. M.Ch Urology: 2 Seats

Admission to these specializations is through NEET-SS. Candidates should have done MD/MS in the relevant specialization to be eligible.

Diploma: TDMC Alappuzha has also launched a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology which has a capacity of 2 seats. Admission is through NEET-PG scores.
