Teegala Ram Reddy College of Pharmacy (TRRCP) is situated at Meerpet, Hyderabad, Telangana. TRRCP conducts different pharmacy courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. TRRCP has a holistic admission procedure through which it chooses meritorious students for its pharmacy courses.
The TRRCP admission procedure mostly relies on entry tests. Scores of Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) are used for admitting students for the undergraduate course by the college. Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) and Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) scores are used to admit students to postgraduate programs by the college.
TRRCP adheres to a seat allocation scheme in which 70% of the seats are allocated through entrance examination ranks, and the balance 30% are allocated by the management according to merit at the Intermediate level. This creates an equitable combination of competitive exam performance and scholarship.
Application Process
The application procedure for TRRCP differs on the basis of the program:
For B.Pharma:
1. Appear for the TS EAMCET exam.
2. Get registered for the counseling process on the basis of TS EAMCET rank.
3. Take part in counseling to select TRRCP and the B.Pharma course.
4. Perform the admission formalities at TRRCP in case of the seat being alloted.
For M.Pharma:
1. Attend the GPAT or TS PGECET test.
2. Apply for the counseling procedure based on the GPAT/TS PGECET rank.
3. Attend the counseling for selecting TRRCP and preferred M.Pharma specialization.
4. Perform the admission formalities at TRRCP in case of the seat being alloted.
For management quota admissions (30% seats):
1. Direct application to TRRCP with Intermediate examination marks.
2. Go through the process of selection based on academic merit.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: The B.Pharma course of study at TRRCP has an approved strength of 100 students. Admission to the B.Pharma course is according to the TS EAMCET for first-year admission or ECET for direct admission into the second year. A counseling process for 70% of the seats using the rank obtained in the TS EAMCET and management offering the remaining 30% based on Intermediate examination merit is adopted by the college.
M.Pharma: TRRCP has four M.Pharma specializations: Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacology. All specializations, with the exception of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, have an approved intake of 15 students. Steps in the admission process for M.Pharma courses are given below:
1. The candidates need to clear the GPAT or TS PGECET entrance test.
2. The students are ranked according to their performance in these entrance tests.
3. Admissions are made on the basis of counseling according to the GPAT rank, with remaining seats being filled on the basis of TS PGECET ranks.
4. 70% of the seats are occupied through GPAT/TS PGECET ranks, and 30% are occupied by management on the basis of Intermediate level merit.
