The whole college has its own private Wi-Fi provider, and every floor has its own Wi-Fi. Many labs are there for practicals and a better understanding of the students. The canteen of the college is clean and good. The college doesn't have sports facilities, but games are organized in really good ways.
The teachers are well-qualified in this college and are very knowledgeable. They will guide you through the semester and exams. They are very helpful and friendly. It follows the Mumbai University pattern in courses, and the courses are all related to getting placements.
In Thadomal Shahani Engineering College, almost 90% of the students are placed every year, and the placement cell is pretty solid. Recruiters like JP Morgan, Amazon, and many other companies recruit on the basis of the performance of the students. The average package of the college is around 8 LPA.
The college is located in a very good place. The infrastructure is also good. The college has excellent equipment available for students. The classrooms, labs, and libraries are well-maintained and include centralized AC. The quality of food available in the canteen is very good and hygienic. The college also has sports events, which include several sports games and other fun activities.
The faculty of the college is top-notch. The teachers are very helpful. The faculty is highly qualified and very knowledgeable. The majority of the faculty have an experience of 15 years or above. The students are well-prepared for their respective technical industries. The semester exams in the college are quite tough but have a decent pass percentage.
A high percentage of students get placed every year, with the highest package of 140 LPA INR and an average of 20-30 LPA INR. Top recruiters like Oracle, Morgan Stanley, and Deutsche Bank offer jobs to students. A good percentage of students get internships in fields like software engineering and data science.
The college are quite decent. Labs are clean, and all safety measures are taken while conducting experiments during practical sessions. Classrooms are also clean and well-managed by caretakers, so overall everything is good.
Faculty members of our college are very cooperative and kind. They are always ready to help, not only with academic studies but also with events and project work. Students also like to take their opinions because they are best to help in a project work. The curriculum is relevant.
Around 66 students from our batch were placed. The highest salary package offered in our course was about 7.5 LPA, which is a good package. The lowest was 5.5 LPA, which is also a good package. Top recruiting companies are Ambuja Cement, JSW Steel, and other pharmaceutical companies, etc.
The college does not provide a lot of facilities, there is no college-wifi in classrooms or library, although there is AC in all the rooms and library as well. There is no official hostel for students but college assists in finding PGs and roommates for rent houses. The Mess/Canteen is decent but very crowded during lunchtime. College does not provide any facilities for sports and games.
Faculty lacks consistency; some instructors show expertise, but overall quality is very questionable. The curriculum feels dated, lacking real world relevance. Exams rely on conventional methods, hindering the practical skill development. A mediocre blend of faculty, curriculum and exams.
Very Average Placements for the first AI&DS batch. About 60 to 70% of the batch got placed and The Highest Package was 32LPA. The Placements Officer does guide you pretty well. A lot of students secure good internships during the 5th Semester in companies like Deutsche Bank, Accenture and Colgate
The college have a good infrastructure, they have all the necessary equipments. The classrooms are also good clean and ventilated. The environment is also good. They have provided all the necessary facilities. They have 2 building one is old building and the other one is new building Old building has a old infrastructure but the new building is good.
As I am studying in chemical engineering we have the subjects like mass transfer, heat transfer and this subjects are used to know about the chemical processes. The quality of teachers are so good they are well experienced.
The quality of placements are very good in my college but as I am in chemical branch in my branch the placements are not so good we can consider average placements are good . In this branch many people go for higher studies.
The campus includes two buildings that house various departments, including the Chemical Engineering department. The classrooms are equipped with the latest technology and are air-conditioned, creating a comfortable learning atmosphere. The college library is a treasure trove of knowledge with a vast collection of books.
The faculty is highly qualified and brings a wealth of professional experience to the table, helping students meet the global challenges in the field of chemical engineering. The department also offers various training programs, including mentorship for female students.
TSEC has a strong placement record, with its chemical engineering graduates finding positions in reputed organizations like Tata Chemicals, Reliance Industries, Toyo, VVF, Tecnimont, ThyssenKrupp, Aker Solutions, UPL, Jacobs, and more.
Good college, 2 buildings, good hygiene, up to date technology, good library services, cleanliness is up to the mark, they are all maintained as well as labs are taken care of, staff looks who after maintaining are polute too
Differs as per subject, I'm studying chemical engineering, there are five subjects quality of teaching is moderate, curriculum is updated. There are add on to syllabus and we're updated with recent things.
Good as heard, according to seniors and college history, placement have been 100% looking forward to this quality of college, also as i read, good packages are offered to students according ti their knowledge and score
Full time engineering costs 80k, as I come under OBC, also it's value for money, because student's and teachers are friendly and provides good surrounding for growth and it's supportive so i think it's worth.
Good, best feature is student lounge and lobby, there are always blood donation camps or some othe extra curricular activities taking place by different committee. Students teachers are supportive and friendly. Location is nearby stations which is better for all the students
It's a reputated, good college and as heard it is a nice place to grow, with good supportive people around. There's no burden of any sort, teacher's understand the students here and classmates are and kind and supportive
The college has the required equipment which is old, and should be changed, but functions well enough to perform the practical smoothly, and the faculty, as well as staff are there to assist you. The classrooms spacious, and have a decent level of maintenance. WiFi is available in the campus. The overall cleanliness, and maintenance of the campus is decent, but could improve in some aspects.
I am pursuing Chemical engineering, and the faculty of our department is well experienced, are highly qualified with specializations in various fields, and teach well. The curriculum is good, but should be updated so as to be familiar with the latest technology, and developments in the industry. The portion includes knowledge which is important for industrial applications, and whatever is not included in the portion is covered in various reference books suggested to us by our professors.
TSEC has a 100% placement record, and good companies come to our college for placements. The average salary offered is Rs 4-5 lakhs per annum. The highest package was Rs 36 lakhs per annum, and a student of the IT department got that package, if I'm not mistaken.
The course costs Rs 1,45,000 per year for a student coming under the general quota, but varies as per your community background, and economic status. The fee is worth to an extent, but, the college infrastructure could be better maintained, and new /latest apparatus should be provided for the fee worth as much as it costs.
The on campus life of TSEC is fun-there is the SL is located which is a popular hangout spot for all students. There are plenty of teams, committees, events, and fests, for which students can join, volunteer, and participate in, which helps to grow your social circle. The staff in general are accomodating, and the students are fun. The college is located in a prime location, and help is reachable in times of emergency.
TSEC has got two buildings, namely OB and NB. OB consists of Chemical, Biotech, and Biomed departments. Rest all are in the NB. Our college is on its way of upgrading infrastructure. We've got smart classrooms. All classrooms have ACs. Our library is having around 40000 books. Currently, our college canteen is under renovation.
I am doing Chemical Engineering now. It has been my passion to pursue studies in the field of chemistry. The quality of teaching in my college is really great! All our professors are either MTech or PhD in their respective fields. Our curriculum is decided and maintained by Mumbai University. Our college makes sure that it gives us all the content required for clearing a basic but important job interview, irrespective of whether it is in our syllabus or not.
Our college boasts about its 100% placement record for the past so many years. There are over 50 companies coming to our college every year to select the students from all the branches. The average salary is somewhere around 15 LPA (this is for all the branches together). I haven't been through the placement yet, since i'm in my second year now. Above said are the words of our seniors. Yes, our college has an incubation cell. In this, students get money from the college for their start-up.
I am in the general category. For us, the fees is around 140000 p.a. There are many other categories, and since our college is under HSNC board, there is a sindhi minority quota as well.
Campus life is great! There are fests, competitions, and lot more. Students usually find their creative side in this. The connections between professors and students is good. All the professors help us a lot in everything we have an issue with. No matter whatever the problem is, we've got a solution.
Our college does not organise industrial visits. Everything is done by the college commitees. So all the IVs are usually unofficial.
College has two buildings, Old building and New Building, Old building was built first so thats where its name came from. Canteen is missing in the college, but TSEC students have access to the Canteen of National College and mithibai College.
Syllabus is bit old , the college is under University of Mumbai. There is mix of theory and practical in most of the subjects . Here we have 2 period test every semester and average of two is included in final grading
placements are good, good companies like Deloitte, Capegemini, TATA, Accenture etc, come every year for placements at TSEC, most of the students go for higher studies ( like MS ) to a foreign country.
The Course costs around 1.5 lakhs to 1.7 lakhs per year for general category students, but special concessions are there for reserved categories and also TFWS quota is there .The college also has sindhi quota.
Campus life is amazing. There is good crowd. One annual fest and Traditional day is hosted by the members of students council. College has many committees which over the year arrange their respective events.
