Thejus College of Architecture, Thrissur Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Thejus College of Architecture (TCA) is a reputed educational institute offering undergraduate courses in architecture and engineering. In light of the Council of Architecture approval, admissions processes became rigorous to capture the brightest minds for their architecture programs. Almost all admissions in TCA are on the basis of examinations of a national level ensuring equal opportunity and competitive selection. Scores from the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) are accepted by the college. These examinations test the aptitude and abilities of the students aspiring to join the architecture field. 

It is compulsory for aspiring students to take the NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 (Architecture) for eligibility into TCA Minimum eligibility requirements required for admission to the B.Arch program at TCA state that the student is supposed to have qualified the 10+2 or equivalent examinations from any recognized board. The student should have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in addition as the compulsory papers for qualifying in the higher secondary course. Candidates should also fulfill the marks requirement because set by the Council of Architecture and qualify in NATA or JEE Main Paper 2.

Application process

1. Entrance Test: The candidate should either sit for admission by way of NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 examination. NATA registration and the examinations should be done as scheduled by the Council of Architecture. JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), thus the candidate must follow the application procedure and dates as mentioned by NTA.

2. Application to TCA: After having satisfied entrance examination results, candidates need to apply using the application form on Thejus College of Architecture's website or from the admission office.

3. Document Submission: Candidates are supposed to submit documents along with the completed application form:

• Mark sheets of 10th and 12th standards
• NATA or JEE Main scorecard
• Valid ID proof
• Recent passport-size photographs
• Any certificates or documents asked for by the college.

4. Application Fee: The candidates are supposed to pay the prescribed application fee. The amount along with the method of payment will be mentioned in the application form or on the college website.

5. Merit List: TCA will issue a merit list of candidates according to their performance in the entrance and academic records.

6. Counselling and Seat Allotment: The selected candidates will be then invited for counselling sessions through which the allotment of seats will be done on merit and availability basis.

7. Admission Confirmation: Candidates will be required to finalize their admission by paying the relevant fees and presenting their original documents.

8. Orientation: Newly admitted students in normal circumstances undergo an orientation program before commencement of classes.

Degree wise Admission Process

Thejus College of Architecture, Thrissur offers a 5-year full-time Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program for 80 students per year. Admission to the B.Arch program is primarily based on the performance of the candidate in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) with consideration also being given to the JEE Main Paper 2 scores.

Bachelor of Architecture admissions criteria:

1. Having passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination as prescribed by the board;
2. Aggregate score of at least 50 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics;
3. Valid by NATA or Paper 2 JEE Main score.

According to ranking in the entrance examination among the selected applicants, portfolio review/interviews may be considered.
