Comparing their respective placement stats:

For Engineering College Bikaner, according to official stats only 37 students were placed in CSE Dept.

According to online peer reviews, the average salary is above 4 LPA. If you do not have any backlog in CS Dept. then you can get good placements. Infrastructure is decent, the labs are functional and there are smart classes available as well.

FOR UIET:

31 students have been placed in EE, average salary stand at 5.62 LPA and highest package was 16LPA for last placement drive. Companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Capgemini, Goldman Sachs, Bharti Airtel, Samsung and others alike have visited the campus for placement. It is the second most known govt. college in Chandigarh after PEC. Chandigarh as a location provides good opportunities as well but it depends on the student how they choose to explore it.

It is recommended that you look beyond the placement statistics and try to gain information about these colleges from students studying in those colleges. Which will give you a first hand impression of them.

First of all it is recommended to only fill colleges that you wish to get admission into and not just randomly select colleges. Second, admission into UIET is through JAC Chandigarh counselling, different from JOSAA so this mean you specifically chose the college.

Now, let me re-assure you THERE ARE NO ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES (Drink in campus, drugs or ragging) in UIET, this i can especially say from first hand experience. This is just a stigma created about Panjab University and of Chandigarh. To be frank, no such place is 100% proof against such things but there is no current news or even rumour about this in locality and students. PU shares its border with important governmental sites and other colleges and such activities are strictly prohibited. That said, UIET has decent placement records however, a candidate's own interest is more important.

UIET placement statistics:

Highest package offered is 16 LPA and average stands at 5.6 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, Bharti Airtel, Goldman Sachs, Mu Sigma etc. have visited the campus for placement drives.

At my point of view IKG PTU jalandhar is best for pursuing engineering, it had best academics and faculty and infrastructure. When it comes to placements aspect then IKG university is average for placement. With only 40+ companies recruiting. Your total fee for pursuing engineering will be 3,27,000.

UIET punjab is best for its placements there are only 22+ companies recruiting but placements are 100%. All other aspects are average in this university.

I suggest you to choose IKG PTU because it's placements may be bad but academics are best. It will be good for your future.

Hi aspirant, as you have got 53600 OBC rank in JEE Mains so on behalf of you question wether you would get UIET Chandigarh or not so let me tell you this thing that on this rank you may get successful to get the college but this is also true that you may or may not have to sacrifice CSE or IT branch otherwise you can get other branches without any doubt for sure.

There's a comparison provided below between the two mentioned colleges :-

UIET -

Placements in this college are not much good. There are 80-90% placements for CSE and IT students. For the rest of the streams, the placements are not much good. The average package offered now is approximately 3-4 LPA, and the highest goes to 18 LPA based on your skills. Placements are getting better year by year.

MMMUT -

Placements in this college are average. The package offered was approximately 6 lacs per annum. Lots of student from civil and electrical branches got government jobs. Students of our college have achieved 27 ranks under 100 in the IES exam. Placements for other branches are not good.

UIET can be a better choice than the other one. However the fees are same for both colleges. Afterall it is your decision to make which college is convenient for you.
