UIET Chandigarh admissions are offered at undergrdauate and postgraduate levels. University Institute of Engineering and Technology Chandigarh admissions are offered in the branches of biotechnology engineering, computer science engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering, information technology and mechanical engineering.
The Joint Admission Committee (JAC) has been constituted to conduct UIET Chandigarh B.Tech admissions. Eligible candidates must fill out the online registration form and pay the online UIET Chandigarh registration fee. Admission to the B.E programme at UIET Chandigarh is offered based on the rank obtained by the candidate in JEE Main.
UIET Chandigarh admissions will be done through four rounds of online counselling: first, second, third and spot round. UIET Chandigarh admissions to M.E courses are offered to GATE-qualified candidates and candidates appearing for PU CET, (PG) will be given admission if seats are left vacant.

The courses are 20 years old with no update based on how the technology has transformed over the years. The way of teaching is very old and it feels obsolete as students learn more from youtube videos than in college.
In the biotech department, only few of the faculty members are exceptionally good. And they will certainly push you and develop your research skills. But it is true only for the select few of the faculty members.
I have studied BE mechanical and college have various machinaries to showcase practicals and quality of teaching is also good. YEs, i feel curticulum is mostly updated and study make you 80 percent ready for job for rest 20 percent you need to involve yourself in extra co curricular activities.
The eligibility criteria for BE to get admission into UIET Chandigarh is that candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with at least five subjects, including Hindi, English, Punjabi, Physics, and Mathematics. Some websites do suggest the minimum percentage however, that's not official, the recommended percentage however will be to get about 90% as a safe score to get admitted.

Educational Qualification : Have passed 10+2 or equivalent with five subjects, including:
Entrance Exam : Possess a valid All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Main) Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech.
While the official eligibility criteria do not specify a minimum percentage in Class 12, some sources suggest that a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD/BC candidates) in Class 12 may be required. Therefore, achieving at least 60% in Class 12 is advisable to strengthen your application.
