UPES B.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #42 among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF | Highest CTC 50 LPA , 100% Placements
Hello,
Nothing can be said surely regarding the fee refund of UIT.They may refund you half the payment or they might refund it full. You should contact directly to the college authorities regarding fee refund policy. However they may ask you for valid reason for the withdrawal of admission.
I hope this helps.
Hi there
Techno India Salt Lake is a better option.
The placement of previous batch was very good. About 83% of the students got placed in the campus placements. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA, the lowest offered was 4 LPA, and the average offered was 8 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Intel, etc., visited the campus and offered various roles to students.
Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, canteen, and medical facilities are available in the college. Labs and classrooms are fully air-conditioned. Hostel rooms are also good and air-conditioned.
Teachers in the college are very helpful, well-qualified, educated, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good and unique.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
Hii,Yes it is a govt college. You see, it depends on your needs. Getting on to the pros later.
If you're looking for a decent job after college (provided by the same) then sorry this ain't your place. Placement sucks.
Infrastructure and Management SUCKS.
There are lot of problems between Burdwan University and UIT.
College ground nearly sucks.
No such sporting events. There is NSS though.
Students are trying to build the college to it's early glory days by organizing many events, but the college doesn't poke it's nose at all.
The principal is…well, the teachers are frustrated with him (one of them did say to us on our very first semester!). Idk about internship facilities but I've heard they suck too.
Pros are a few.
You get a government degree, from the University. All the teachers are friendly (very few exceptions mustn't be considered in any case). If you're not a very hardworking and talented person to get into JU or the rest, but money is a factor for you, then you may consider this college (The semester fee as of now is 27050 which is kinda half of the pvt ones in WB) because FEW teachers ARE good.
The semester questions (70-80% questions) repeat themselves every alternate year. However it varies from teacher to teacher. A testimony for the same are the lots of Back papers that are awarded every year.
There is no ragging (in college, you moron. No hostel is free of that).
The library isn't too bad also.
This place, if not the best, isn't that bad for getting a just the degree(not the job, sorry). It is definitely better than most pvt colleges that just have a very, very fake image (TRUST ME, once you get in, you know).
Oh, you get to eat the traditional sitabhog mihidana :-P
In the end, it's your knowledge and you, that matters the most. Most colleges hardly make a dent on those, if you're serious enough!
On a job basis, way companies would look at you wouldn’t be much different from JU students, only, however, if you have your requisite knowledge :)
Placements : Placements in our college are average. Core companies also visit the campus for placements. The placement rates of CSE and IT departments are satisfactory. The highest salary package offered this year is 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and many others visit the campus for placements. About 70%-80% of the students get placed from our college. The college has a placement cell. Some grooming sessions are also conducted.
Not a good condition of placements. Overall, four to five companies will visit the college for placement, but none of them are with a handsome package. The percentage of students getting placed is not good. It is near about to only 20%. The highest package offered till date is of 7.2 Lacs. If you want to do internships then you have to do it on your own. The college is not going to do anything for your internship-related issues.

Hello aspirant,
Sadly the placements scenarios are not that much impressive since the last 3 years, the training and placements have not been able to much help to the students in the previous years, so it's kind of getting difficult for the college scenarios.
Hope I cleared your query, feel free to ask more questions.

Infrastructure is average, but due to the lockdown, there has been a lot of tree growth, but it has been cleared and looks good and green. Classrooms are average and the library is good, having accumulated 72000 units. Hostels are average and there is a mess in our hostel. Food quality is average.
University Institute of Technology, The University of Burdwan had all the necessary equipments and infrastructure. The living spaces were clean and discipline was maintained well. The food was highly appreciated. The education system is again excellent.
he course is very good, but most of the faculty are college pass-outs, so they don't have enough knowledge. They are just college pass-outs who are looking for a job, and they do this teaching job part-time. The technologies they teach are very old. good nice
