The College was established in 1941 and is a premier technical institute ranked 7 in India, its Library System consists of a Central Library and 15 departmental libraries which collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities by taking a library membership. The Library, besides having a huge collection of books on engineering, science and humanities offers library services through its various divisions. Initially set up in 1941, the Central Library moved to its new building in May 2004. To make the Delhi College of Engineering Library a 21st-century Knowledge Centre and to facilitate the transition of today’s engineering society to a knowledge base society of tomorrow, the knowledge generated by the faculty and students of DTU has been digitized and made accessible through Intranet or Internet. Along with the automation of library services, we have moved towards the digitization of library resources, so that the services of Virtual Libraries and Knowledge Centre may be provided parallel with the Traditional Library.
The College has a well-equipped centralized computer centre to cater to the needs of students and faculty in the university. It is housed, in a magnificent state-of-the-art building having specialized laboratories to provide a variety of platforms and computing environments for UG, PG and research students.
The centre possesses a number of servers and over 200 Dell intel core i5 computer systems. In addition, the centre has more than 15 servers hosting different applications such as websites & portals, SPSS, Mathematica, MatLab, DNS, LDAP, proxy, Email services, Network Monitoring System (NMS) etc. and 4 SUN CAD workstations meant for use by UG/PG/PhD students for their projects and research work. The centre is fully networked through high-end intelligent Avaya & CISCO switches and possesses round-the-clock 1 Gbps NKN leased line, ISDN and a 50 Mbps leased line in a different pipe for the LAN wired & Wi-Fi connectivity for the academic, administrative and hostel blocks of the campus, with internet facilities on all the nodes. It also has the latest versions of compilers, scientific, technical and engineering software, training kits etc. for the students of different branches of engineering.
The State Bank of India (SBI) has a branch within the college campus to cater to the banking requirements of the students. All the banking transactions are carried out within the branch itself.
The mess services are provided in six of the hostels. These are Sir Visversvaraya Hostel, Sir C. V. Raman Hostel, Arya Bhatt Hostel, Homi Jahangir Bhabha Hostel, Sir J.C. Bose Hostel, and Sister Nivedita. These cater to the requirements of all the students residing within the campus. Every hostel has its own common room and gymnasium. Additionally, every hostel subscribes to the latest magazines and newspapers for the residents. The hostels are connected to the campus via the campus-wide wi-fi network and LAN which enables the residents to browse the internet and access the online library resources for their academic and research-related work.

The guest house within the campus is meant for the staying purpose of individuals visiting DTU. The rooms are comfortable with all the modern facilities available within.
The College has an ultra-modern gymnasium with high-tech equipment. The gymnasium has been refurbished recently and new equipment like digital electronic treadmills have been added to the impressive setup.
The College has a full-fledged 20-bed hospital block. Services of two medical practitioners are available to the students throughout the day and evening. The college invites specialized medical practitioners for ENT, eye, dental care, and nutrition experts once a week.
The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.
University school of management and entrepreneurship which is comes under Delhi technical University has a clean and green campus.Hostels having gym and mess with hygienic food.There were a sports ground for cricket.classes are well maintained.
The college infrastructure is nice It is small in size but with spacious classrooms with air conditioning and good quality washrooms The university has big libraries with variety of books available for students
The college is nice with nice atmosphere and infrastructure.The building is a bit small but still it strives to provide the best it can. The library is this college is full of books so you need not to buy books
