The college admits students based on performance in appropriate entrance exams. Undergraduate programs consider scores obtained in the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET). Graduate programs are admitted based on scores obtained in the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) and Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET).
For B.Pharma course, the candidates should have passed 10+2 with Science subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as mandatory subjects. M.Pharma candidates should hold a degree in B.Pharma from a recognized institution. For D.Pharma course, the candidates should have passed 10+2 with Science subjects.
Application Process
The application process for Vagdevi College of Pharmacy is different for different programs:
For B.Pharma:
1. Appear for AP EAMCET organized by APSCHE.
2. Register for AP EAMCET counseling at the APSCHE website.
3. Complete college and course preferences at the time of counseling.
4. If a seat is granted at Vagdevi College of Pharmacy, report to the college for document verification and admission procedure.
For M.Pharma courses:
1. Clear GPAT or AP PGECET.
2. Register for the respective counseling process (GPAT or AP PGECET).
3. Join the counseling and mention Vagdevi College of Pharmacy as a favorable option.
4. If given a chance, undergo the admission procedure at the college.
For D.Pharma:
1. Refer to the college website or admission office to find out the procedure for filling in the application.
2. Fill in the application form accompanied by necessary documents and application fees.
3. Attend any selection process as instructed by the college.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: The college offers B.Pharma with an approved intake of 100 seats. Admission is on the basis of AP EAMCET scores. The candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. Counseling is conducted by APSCHE for selecting the candidates.
M.Pharma: Three specializations in M.Pharma are provided by the college - Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical and Quality Assurance, and Pharmacy Practice. 15 seats are available in each program. Candidates are admitted based on GPAT or AP PGECET score. The applicants should have a B.Pharma degree from any recognized university. Shortlisted applicants can be called for counseling.
D.Pharma: The Diploma in Pharmacy course has an intake of 60 seats. Admission is generally on the basis of the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination (10+2 with Science subjects) and any state-level entrance test for diploma courses, if held.
