Hi Aspirant!

According to teh previous years records, most probably you will fall under either category 2 or category 3. As upto 20,000 rank the students are counted as category-1 candidates and 20k onwards they are counted under category 2 or so on. Also, with this rank, you might get Civil engineering, Electronics and computer engineering, Fashion technology etc. in VIT Chennai. To know more, visit here:

Thankyou!

Dear aspirant,

Asd you have mentioned that you have got vit chennai computer science branch in category 2, so the total fees of the college is 18L . Therefore in these private colleges the ROI factor is not good.

But still as you are getting computer science so you would be placed at a decent company so you can take up computer science branch there. But if you have any good government college as option then you should go for it whether or not you are getting computer science.

Hi Sai,

Yes , there is good probability that you can get computer science and engineering with specialization in robotics at the Chennai campus. Analysing the past trends and cutoffs, a rank under 30k should be sufficient to avail you a seat in third category. But considering the high cutoffs this year, it is fair to say that you may be even pushed to fourth category.

Previous cutoffs for various branches at different campuses can be found at https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/viteee-cutoff/amp

Hope it helps!!

Definitely, you must go for an IIIT or NIT or maybe some good GFTI with 96.78 Percentile in JEE Main. Secondly, you still have attempt of JEE Main left, try securing 98+ Percentile, for excellent prospects among IIIT, NIT and GFTIs.

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.According to your rank it would be difficult for you to get admission in VIT Vellore and VIT Chennai in category 1.If you want you can check out in other categories-

Category 1 fees -1,98,000/- per year

Category 2 fees -2,35,000/- per year

Category 3 fees - 3,43,000/- per year

Category 4 fees - 3,68,000/- per year

The above mentioned categories suggest that if you get adnission in 1st category it means you are getting correct branch for the rank you have secured,if you are paying tution fee as per category 2 or 3 or 4.It means you are paying extra money to get admission in the desired course. So, if  you are comfortable then you can get admission through categories 2 or 3 or 4.But,if the fees are not affordable for you then you can chrck out branchrs in VIT Bhopal and VIT AP through the link given below-

Hello,

The VIT colleges are quite popular among students and good range of students try every year to get in this colleges for their further studies and also talking about the CSE branch it is very popular field and most students wan’t this field only because of its higher demand in future. Now seeing at your rank you have done a good job so i can say that you should definitely make a try for VIT Chennai which is second top VIT among others and has a great excellence and talking about its cutoff from past year it is 10k to 15k but the rank vary’s from year to year, so your try should be must.

Thank you..

Greetings of the day Samarth,

At first, I would like to congratulate you on successful completion of your VITEEE exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With a rank near to 26,000, you cannot get ECE seat in Vellore campus as the cut-off for the same was 14,500 in the year 2016. Whereas, you can secure an ECE , IT or any other seat in Chennai campus in 1st or 2nd fee categories itself.

You can have a look at the detailed cut-off statistics of the previous few years from the above link.

Hope I've cleared your doubt!!

All the best for your future endeavours
