UPES B.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #42 among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF | Highest CTC 50 LPA , 100% Placements
Dear aspirant,
As you mentioned that you have got 30k rank in viteee 2021 ,see vit does not disclose any cut offs from last 3-4 years so nobody can't really predict about the dynamics. It depends upon certain factors like number of candidates opting for a particular branch, number of seats available for a particular branch. Every year vit increases its seat strength. In short you can also say that no body knows what is the actual seat matrix of vit as there are enormous amount of students there.
But as I have given viteee in 2019 so,as per my knowledge you can't get cse at category 1 in vit vellore but you can hope so to get in category 3. In vit chennai too it's a neck to neck case ,more chances are in category 2.
As per the official website, the fees for the First year of BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is Rs. 1,76,000.

I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Hello,
It is quite difficult to predict the exact cut off rank as it depends on various factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. And the cut off changes every year depending on these factors. The cut is expected to be in between 10000-15000 for admission to EEE in Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore but as said the cut off depends on the factors mentioned above. SO you need to secure a rank within 15000 to have decent chances of getting seat in the preferred branch.

Hi Mudiyam,
Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you as you have not specified about the branch and course you are talking about but i am assuming that you want to know about BTECH CSE closing rank it may defer every year but more or less you may get rough idea about it in the following data any rank greater then 10,000 will lank you in CS/IT branch in vit vellore. Closing rank of some of that are:-
CSE Vellore closing rank - 5000-6000
IT Vellore closing rank - 7000-9000
CSE Chennai Closing Rank - 10,000-12000
Hope you found this answer useful.Stay motivated stay positive.
All the best!
Hello,
The cut off varies every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination, total number of seats available, performance of the candidates etc. By analyzing the past years cut off you need to secure rank below 40,000 to get seat in Electronics and Computer Engineering to get admission in to Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai. But as said earlier the cut off changes every year so to be on safe side you should aim to core minimum 50 marks to above in VITEEE 2021. This is an estimated score the rank with respective to the indicated score may vary depending on the highest score, lowest score, total number of candidates appeared, tie breakers etc.

Hello,
It is quite difficult to predict the exact marks that you have to score to get seat in VIT Chennai or VIT Vellore because the seat allotment depends on the cut off rank, total number of seats available, category of the candidate, preferences of campus or branch. VITEEE is conducted for 80 marks so if you aim to score minimum 60-75 marks or above you will have decent chances of securing a good rank which can fetch you seat in one of the preferred campuses. Cut off depends on the total number of seats available, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc.
Hi Siva!
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, SASTRA, Thanjavur, are quite similar in their infrastructure! They have huge libraries, laboratories, cafeteria, Wi-Fi enabled campus, gym, etc,.
The placements in VIT Chennai is quite good when compared to that of Amrita College. The median salary in the former is Rs. 5.5 lakhs/year and in the latter is Rs. 4.0 lakhs/year. The median salary of SASTRA is Rs. 5 lakhs/year!
Hope this is helpful!
All the best!
Hello,
VIT does not offer any lateral entry in B.Tech courses. The only way to get admission in VIT is through VITEEE. So, you have to appear for the entrance examination and if you are selected then only you can take admission in the first year B.Tech course.
You can check more details about the college from the link below

Hope it helps!
Good luck!
Hello,
The CGPA will serve as a screening criteria during the time of your placement. The cutoff will depend upon the company coming for the placement. Some companies may allow those above a 6.5 CGPA to sit for an interview, some may even allow a single backlog. So Consult with your Placement and Training cell to know how much each company would require.
Good Luck
In todays date, VIT Chennai has established its own identity and is no longer recognized as a sister campus of VIT Vellore, somewhat following footfalls of Goa and Hyderabad Campuses of BITS Pilani. The campus has good infrastructure, faculty and residential facilities at par with VIT Vellore.
Electronics and Communication at VIT Chennai has more or less average placements with almost 80% students getting placed with a median package anywhere between 5 and 6 LPA. VIT Chennai has a huge locational advantage amd being located near IT and Industrial Hubs at Chennai as well as Research and Startup Hubs like the IITM Research Park, provide huge impetus in training and placements. Some of the Top Companies like Intel, Cisco, Ford, MuSigma, Qualcomm, TCS, Cognizant, TVS, Accenture, Wipro recruited students from ECE Department at VIT Chennai the previous year.
Electronics is a branch with excellent career scope and research potential. Vellore Institute of Technology also has a reputation of many students preparing for the GRE or GATE Exam for admission in universities abroad or in higher technical institutes in India like Top IITs and IISc Bangalore for a Masters degree in Electronics. For more information do follow the link below
The infrastructure at VIT Chennai is exceptional, surpassing even that of many IITs and other private institutions. The air-conditioned hostels provide comfort, and the quality of food in the mess is commendable.
It has pretty decent infrastructure. We have all the necessity amenities nearby, hence the infrastructure complements the busy student life of engineering. We have Domino's in the campus, also we have in campus gym and salon.
The college's infrastructure is pretty good. Good, well maintained labs and classrooms. Hostels could use for both rooms and wifi availability and better cleaned toilets. The academic blocks are well situated and clean.
