Hi Tunic!!! Congratulations on your rank!!! I am sorry to inform you that you won't get ECE in VIT chennai as the cutoff has been around 25000-30000 over the recent years but you do stand a chance of getting ECE in VIT,Bhopal which is a new campus.

VIT chennai will be best of these 3 options as you get good campus ,placement options, teaching staff etc. VIT chennai is better than any of the stated colleges.

However you are not eligible for the first category.you csn get into the 2nd or 3rd category depending on the avialibility of seats during counselling.!

First of all there is no IT branch at vit,chennai.

But based on your rank you will definitely get CSE at the 4th category since there are 211 seats available and yours will be the first slot of the day.

You will definitely get cse at vit chennai!

It depends on what stream you want to get into.

If you want CSE,you are eligible for the 3rd category.

If you want ECE, you are eligible for the 2nd or 3rd category depends on the avilability of seats at the time of counselling.

If you want eee,there are 190 seats available at the first category,,so your chances of getting into the first category are high.

If you want civil,there are 57 seats avilable at the first category,so you can get into this or if not get into the 2nd category depending upon the availability during counselling.

The choice is yours to make because you are eligible for all the course with this rank.Difference lies in the category.So it is your decision to make based on the category and your interests.

Based on the counselling status,there are no seats available at the first category at vellore campus nor at chennai campus. 

ECE:

The first category vellore seats are over.However there are 221 seats available at vit chennai campus.So based on the trend you can get a seat at vit chennai.

You are definitely eligible for all the 2nd category seats whether its vellore or chennai for both cse and ece.

The closing rank for CSE at VIT chennai is around 14k so the chances are less for you to get a seat there.You have a good rank in SRMJEE so you may opt SRM main campus itself.CSE is the most opted branch in that campus and also the infrastructure, facilities and placements are very good.Comparing with SRM main campus, the fees is lower in VIT Chennai but the ratings and reviews are better for SRM main campus(Kattankulathur).
