VIT Chennai All Questions

Thapar Institute Pros-

1. The infrastructure is really good. We get Wifi at around 4Mbps, Sports facilities are good, and the accomodation is really good.
2. There are a lot of a research opportunitites that you can pursue without a lot of questions.
3. The college is only 5 days a week
4. Patiala is a nice city. It has all the basic amenities but is not fancy as fuck.
5. A lot of cultural events and socities you can be a part of.
6. The campus is really good.
7. The placements are really good. The highest package was 28.5 Lpa.

Based on the usual trend Cse at vit vellore closes by a rank of 5500 and at chennai it closes by 11k at the maximum.So your chances are minimal.However you are eligible for the other branches like Bioinformatics,ECE,EEE,Biotech  ,Civil and Chemical engineering .

You can always opt for migrating to CSE once you choose these courses.So it is your decision to make :)

I am sorry to inform you that you are not eligible for a cse seat at vit chennai or vellore.This is based on the usual trend.All the seats for cse gets filled up by a rank of 20k at the maximum.

However you are eligible for any other branch like ECE,It,etc

You  always have the option of migrating to CSE at the first year.It is your decision to make now that you know what you are eligible at and what you are not.Choose wisely :)

Based on the usual trend,With your rank you can easily get a seat ECE.But i am sorry to inform you that you are not eligible for cse as seats for cse gets over within a rank of 18k-20k;

ECE is very easy for you to get and it has a lot of scope as well.A lot of operation and coding subjects are there in ECE.So you can always switch to coding while studying at ECE.

There is another option of migration to CSE if you are very interested in CSE.:)

going by the usual trend with your rank,You can easily get a seat at Vit chennai.

The branches you are eligible are Ece,EEE,Civil and mechanical.Cse seats gets over very fast by 15k-17k.

Now it depends on your interest to choose the stream among the  four branches.Choose wisely and analyse on your likes and dislikes.Do not choose any stream based on the trend.Think of what career you want and choose accordingly :)

Yes you are eligible for ece.

There are 5 categories .The fees structure is different in these 5 catgories.The first category is for students with better ranks;as the rank goes down,the category goes up.

Year after year ,the trend changes ;but going by the usual trend;you can easily get an ece seat at vit chennai.You might get into the 2nd category.

Keep looking for the seats when each counselling round gets over,you''ll get an idea about which category you'll fit.

It would be difficult to tell you about the admission possibilities as the cutoff varies every year depending on the various factors such as No. Of candidates appeared for the exam, Difficulty level of the exam, performance of the candidates etc.

But with this rank you might have the chance to get a seat in VIT Chennai campus.

I am sorry to tell you that for your rank it is  practically difficult to get a seat at VIT.So it better to look for alternative options available.If you have written SRMJEE/MET/JEE Mains and if you have a better rank there then you may apply through that.You may also write various state level entrance exams and secure a seat at top ranking institutes.
