Hey.
According to the eligibility criteria laid out for admission in VIT, you must score a minimum aggregate of atleast more than 60% marks in Physics, Maths and Chemistry subjects in you class 12th boards. So if you do not have 60% or more marks being in the general category them im afraid that you will not be eligible to take admission in VIT no matter what your rank in the entrance exam is. Fulfilling the minimum required marks in 12th boards is mandatory.
Best of luck
Sorry to say but with this score chances of getting vit chennai is very low. He can only get it through management quota .
But he can definitely wait for it and see what happens in counselling.
Best of luck for your bright future.
VIT is one of the best private engineering most sought after colleges in India, and getting into it is a big deal.
category 1 of VIT is for the students who have to pay a low amount of fees than others and have the top 20000 rankers in it.
For VIT Chennai, the closing rank for the CSE branch was around 16000 in 2017 and 2016, while it was 33000 in the year 2015.
so there is a very inconsistent pattern.
But since you expect to have around 53-63 marks in the exam which is really good, you should expect a rank of around 8000-9500.
So, you have full chances to get CSE in the VIT Chennai and that too in category 1.
Hope it would help.
For admission in VIT Chennai or Vellore you need to get a rank under 10 thousand only then you will be getting VIT Chennai or Vellore.
Hey Akshay,
It depends on the context in which you are asking. If it is placements, then there is no difference between the two as there are no separate placements. All students are said to be a part of the VIT University.
Also there is not much difference in the quality of faculty as well. But that being said, VIT Chennai is a newly established campus. It is small in size and the cultural and technical events are not renowned throughout India where as VIT Vellore has one of the best cultural fests in the country. VIT Vellore guarantees a complete experience to the students.
Good Luck.
Hello Ratan
VIT Chennai is undoubtedly good in terms of faculty..very knowledgeable and cooperative...thi year 2 students have been selected from 2nd year into GSOC probably 1st time at VIT Chennai...Extracuricular is also good, they are picking up by the day, infratructure is undoubtedly good...CSE is good at Chennai
Hi dear,
There is total 56 no of seats in BIT MESRA for bio technology.26 seats are reserved for home state and 30 for other state. The cutoff for home state is 63k and 42k for other state according to last year cutoff. The cutoff may vary every year but you can take a idea that cutoff may fall around somewhere last year cutoff.
Thank you and good luck
The infrastructure at VIT Chennai is exceptional, surpassing even that of many IITs and other private institutions. The air-conditioned hostels provide comfort, and the quality of food in the mess is commendable.
It has pretty decent infrastructure. We have all the necessity amenities nearby, hence the infrastructure complements the busy student life of engineering. We have Domino's in the campus, also we have in campus gym and salon.
The college's infrastructure is pretty good. Good, well maintained labs and classrooms. Hostels could use for both rooms and wifi availability and better cleaned toilets. The academic blocks are well situated and clean.
