Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Sc Programs: With respect to B.Sc programs, these are in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Admission to the science programs is mainly on a merit basis according to marks of the 12th standard examination within the science discipline. A student completing the study with an in-depth knowledge of mathematics and science will be accorded preference.
B.Com Programs: Admission to the B.Com program (including self-financed) is determined by the marks obtained in the 12th standard with emphasis placed on commerce and mathematics. The college offers two specializations in B.Com.
BCA Program: The BCA program is a self-financed course. Admission is based on 12th standard marks, especially for Mathematics and Computer Science subjects.
MA Programs: Vivekananda College offers MA programs in Economics, English, and Tamil. The admission process for the MA programs is based on scoring marks in the relevant bachelor's degree. Entrance tests or interviews may take place in the context of MA admission to the college.
M.Sc Programs: Admission to the M.Sc programs in Mathematics and Zoology is based on scoring marks in the bachelor's degree relevant to that program. Entrance tests and additional criteria may also be applied.

B.Voc Programs: Innovative B.Voc programs in Journalism and Mass Communication and Value Added Aquaculture basics are offered at the college. Admission to the vocational programs is on a 12th standard basis with some additional components like questions and/or interviews.
