VSPM Dental College Nagpur Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

VSPM's Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur, is a premier and one of the chief institutions in Maharashtra for dental education. The college conducts undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in the field of dentistry. Admission to VSPM Dental College is strictly merit-based and competitive and is carried out according to the principles and criteria outlined by the regulatory agencies.

For under graduate admissions, the college considers rankings of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG). For postgraduates; it considers rankings of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS). For a Ph.D. course, AYUSH NET qualification is considered, and exemptions are given for the candidates who have already qualified.

The academic year starts usually in August-September. The admission process starts a few months prior to it.

Eligibility criteria differ for each program. For BDS, the candidate should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. MDS applicants must have a BDS degree from a recognized university. Ph.D. aspirants must hold a master's degree in the relevant dental specialty.

Degree wise Admission Process

MDS: It is a Master's degree with a total intake capacity of 26 seats under the 8 available specializations, including Orthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Prosthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, Conservative Dentistry, Oral Medicine, and Pedodontics. Admissions are conducted by NEET scores.

Ph.D.: VSPM Dental College provides doctoral courses in 6 specializations with a total of 24 seats. The specializations are Oral Medicine and Radiology, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, Periodontology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, and Oral Pathology and Microbiology. Candidates who have qualified AYUSH NET in the relevant subject are exempted from the entrance examination.
