The College has separate hostels for boys located on the campus itself. The Boys Hostel accommodates 200 students. The calm atmosphere and security service ensure a peaceful and comfortable stay for the inmates. Spacious rooms and study halls provide the students with all the necessities that urge them to study and do their work. The hostels are endowed with recreation rooms, mess, medical aid, and prayer rooms besides basic facilities.

The hostels are endowed with recreation rooms, mess, medical aid, and prayer rooms besides basic facilities.

The College has a Central Library and the knowledge center is one of the most important academic facilities provided to the students, faculty, and non-teaching staff. The central library contains a large stock of books related to numerous subjects and literature. The library has a sufficiently large reading hall which can accommodate 200 students at a time. Students can borrow two books at a time and shall return them within the prescribed duration of time.

The college has two buses operating for the convenience of students and staff, one from Kollam and the other from Punalur. All needy students can utilize the bus facility by paying a nominal fee. The transportation wing of YCP always aims for the safety of the students and staff and hence experienced set of drivers are employed to do the service. The operation and maintenance of the buses are taken care of by the Bus Committee.

The college also provides good classrooms for all students.

The college also encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities such as NSS, etc.
