most of the classrooms are not properly ventilated and are not air conditioned too. in terms of infrastructure , our college have a library and auditorium with many different academics block. It has furnished labs which are open to limited students .there is Wifi in library and no sports center in the college. all of the things are well maintained. the living spaces are mostly clean and the food is hygienic as it is from canteen. we also have a garden cum waiting area too.
I was studying psychology with human resource management as i have a interest in clinical psychology. the quality of teaching was very good in the college. all the teachers are very qualified and experienced. The curriculum is changing but there are many things which are of no value for the students. What i studied did not make me job ready for high paying jobs.
The quality of placements are just average or below average , there is a placement cell which is mostly inactive throughout the year and brings in average jobs for the students. also many students do not opt for placements too. I am not sure about the highest salary but it was given to a student from economics honors with some where between 8 LPA. the average salary is very low that is between 2.5-4 LPA. there was no placement process, just apply and give interview. college of support
my course cost me 8000nper year and it was value for money for me. Since my aim was very aim i invested just 30k in my graduation and thus I am getting worth of whatever I invested
it is a small campus with normal facilities and open area. The best thing about the college is the canteen and garden area and the worst are the small congested classrooms. The students engage in NCC and many singing, dancing activity. the students , teacher and staff is supportive and the location of the college is very good. it i near to railway and metro stations and have a market for books nearby. It is very safe. The biggest hospital of Delhi is nearby and thus can handle emergency
the college is not worth if you really have really high hopes
campus is small. a little greenery is there. dust and spiders. washrooms not clean very unhygeinic. Library has AC. lots of books are there. classroom size is small. no furniture and fixtures. no digital boards. typical DU college :))
Poor faculty. teachers and professors are not student oriented. they just read book and leave and sometimes not even that. they are primitive. not open minded. stereo typical thinking is there in the staff. college socieities are okayish
no placements are there. hardly any companies come and hire with 1-2 LPA package only. mostly banks and financial institutions. hardly anyone gets placed and noone even wants to get placed from the college
My college have a better infrastructure, new building is best among all the Delhi University colleges and we have all basic facilities. We don't have any sport campus or playground which is the major drawback of my college. We have best library and auditorium. Along with this our college provide healthy and hygienic environment.
Honestly as much I have learnt and seen through out my 1st year academic was good, professors were quite good and as we all know college academic depends on us only professor can guide us or can provide notes only.
As I have heard from my seniors placements are average in zhdc. For my course there's no placement options and throughout the years you get chances to indulge yourself to many other activities which help to increase your placement chances to good company and once or twice in placement fair.
I'm pursing BA psychology honors and my per year fees is 12000 only which is worth it as we know psychology is one of the most expensive subject to study.
Zakir hussain college has good infrastructure but most of it is somewhat broken because of lots of fight and politics in du the fights, otherwise classes are good and clean canteen food is also good .
The studies are average there is less of teaching more of politics as a major ratio is of boys so teaching environment is affected somewhat but teachers are well qualified and helps students in every way
The placements are average not that good but major portion of students go for higher studies or are interested in politics , the average salary is usually around 5lpa the placement process is definitely not a smooth one but everyone has to do it
When it comes to wifi and smart board related things they don't have good wifi and no smart board they have projector in very few classroom which teacher can connect with their respective laptops. They prefer traditional methods for teaching. There is no living spaces in my college. Yes we have 1 canteen and and 1 Mother dairy point in college but after covid I didn't found that mother dairy in college. There is no cleanliness in Canteen and have very less lighting in canteen area.
I was studying Bcom hons in college with maths as minor subject. Quality of teaching is frankly the best as compared to my friends from other colleges. Teachers usually helps a lot when it comes to any doubt we have. I didn't found any difference from school to college when it comes to study part. Curriculum is partially updated when it comes to dynamic subject like Income tax ,GST and other. We also taught Tally and computer basics. But curriculum didn't make us Job ready.
If you are joining this college for the motive of placement only then I suggest you it is wrong opinion. No company come on campus for placement either in covid period or at other time as well. Students usually finds the job from their personal contacts. Teachers which are head of placement cell I believe is also not giving that much freedom to students to make their personal choices when it comes to any placement decision.
My first year fees -9200 2nd year 10400 and 3rd year 11700 probably this is the cheapest college in Delhi University. Worth of the college I believe is totally depends on students as what they want from their college to be and the college life as well
One of the strict college in Delhi University. I didn't know any thing when it comes to best features. They are working on their new Building which might become their best features. Teachers and support staff are very helpful and they do make u homely feeling. College is located near by the heart of Delhi 6. Yes it can handle emergency not only this there are 2 big hospital with in 700 m of college
No, Nothing but I would like to tell this is the best college review as I spent three year in that college.
Zakir Hussain Delhi College is one of the renowned college college of Delhi University. It has all the necessary infrastructure like well maintained classes, a library, all scientific labs with all equipments required for the students. Classrooms have air conditioner labs have all instruments the library has almost all the books required by the students. The college has a decent canteen with delicious menu!!
I am studying History and Political Science as i was a humanities student and want to compete for Competitive exams . The quality of the teaching is very good and teachers are very much coordinating. The curriculum of the college is totally undated to the new reforms. Yes i think want i am studying will lead me to atleast a good place to have a good and luxurious living!!
The quality of the placement at my college is decent and can be put under the category of good placements. I don't remember the exact numbers but the highest package was of 16LPA and it went to the students of Bcom Hons!!
Its 9800 INR. Yes i feel the money's worth as i am getting a quality education in just around 10000 INR being my annual fees and as compared to pvt colleges and universities i feel quite privileged as i am getting an excellent teaching and good knowledge from my college!!
Campus life is good and students can engage themselves in many activities such as cultural fests of the college society's events and can also engage in various sports activities within the college. The teachers and staff are highly coordinating and the location of the college is also good as i guess it can haddle any emergencies easily!!
Just a few things i would like to add is that the college is decent and has a great history of more than 300 years which makes it a special college from the rest of the colleges of the nation as it is the oldest!!!
The college doesn't even have a ground so no annual college fest , no chilling with friends in ground , the canteen is worst with every item being the worst it could be. Hopefully there's a mother diary ship installed in the college .
Some professors are good who love to teach while others are so reckless that they don't even know the syllabus. The syllabus is always completed in time by any means. The faculty of most courses is good till my knowledge
The only placement you can get here is of sales profile. Don't expect good placements from the college placement cell. Work upon yourself and you could easily bag any internship or job which you want .
By paying 10K per year then it's a good experience. The fee is very low obviously as it's affiliated to Delhi University. Any college of central university would have such low fees. So don't care about the fees
For some the campus life is good while for others it's boring. The college being an off campus college has a good location its at a walking distance from two metro station and just 5 min drive away from CP where you can plan your outings with your friends
College experience is very subjective in my opinion few students love this college and would consider this as the best while few would hate it from their core. If you got admitted in this college just take it up as your destiny and enjoy to the fullest instead of cribbing about how bad the college is! Engage with people , get into societies , grab every opportunity and specially try your best to make the most out of all experiences . Then you'll definitely have a great time here .
The campus is very calm and green. Infrastructure is perfect and crowd is friendly. It doesn't not have hostel facility and playground. It has mother dairy outlet in addition to the college canteen. The food in canteen is also good. Cleanliness is also maintained as dustbin at a proper distance is available and sweepers there are also vry responsible.
I'm pursuing Bcom prog. The staff is highly qualified and their way of teaching is also excellent. Only attending the classes is enough for passing the exams. Professors are friendly and really helpful .
Placements here are not excellent, but not so average. Avrg package offered is 3-4 L per annum. The companies like PNB metlife abd other banking companies often provide job opportunities. Once a student got placed for 9L per annum.
As it's a govt college. The value for money is really well. Bcom prog cost around 9000 per year.
Campus life is also very enjoyable, but only when you have a group of friends. Location is good as you can enjoy CP , Bangla sahib , etc etc. It's really fun being in ZHDC.
It's a part of DU in an affordable cost. Just go for it for quality education and degree and don't be fooled by the building shown in google as It's not permitted to be open currently. So your expectations might get hurt. By the way nice, you should prefer.
Infrastructure of Zakir Husain Delhi College (ZHDC) is quite good . New building of ZHDC is too good but currently it's not open due to some legal work.Currently we study in a old building. Unfortunately their is a no ground in our College,I think this is the only one college in DU where no ground.Canteen is moderate of our College all the food are hygienic . Library is best in our College all types of book are available no need to purchase books for semester exams .
I am the student of Bcom (p). Currently I m in fourth semester. As yet all professors are good they help you in your academics but yes don't be hesitate and be confident.Only studying bcom is not sufficient ,try to work on your skills join the college societies they helps you alot for improving your confident , skills and yes do internship as much as you can ,it helps you a lot in your future journey.
Placement cell of ZHDC is so active .Many students placed in good companies in commerce department 4-5 lpa is average package of students.See college only help and guides you but your talent and hard work speak .
Only 10,000 is the cost of bcom (p) per year .ZHDC is the college of Delhi University which is central university that's why fees is so less .
College life is quite good we enjoy very much .It is situated in New Delhi .We can't say it's too good but yes it's good .this is the off campus college.
zhdc has Delhi university's largest building zhdc and it has 4 lifts. it has a good infrastructure it has 4 buildings. The library is very good, you will find every book in the library. The new Building is well structured.
i am doing BA from this college. The teachers are very humble, they will help you in your studies. The course fess is low as compared to North Campus Colleges. This college provides you psychology which is very few in other colleges.
This college has decent placement. But this college provides no. of internship to the students. in covid, the college has wfh internship to the students. The college has a placement cell also which is moderately active in college. The internship drive occurs 2 times a year.
the college fees is less as compare to other colleges. My college fees of 3 years are around 26000 which is low as compared to other colleges. according to me, it is money worth. On the north campus, the fee of my course is 20000 per year.
My 1st-year college life was as good. I had made so many friends in 1st-year after that covid happens which snatches my happiness. hopefully college will open soon. i miss my college especially the college canteen.
Hi,
Don’t Judge college by NIRF ranking. all the colleges of Delhi university are equally good. the only things matters is the Crowd and Location. As per my knowledge Location is very good situated in the Heart of New Delhi near Civic Centre near New Delhi Railway station.
Hey Sneha,
According to the rules of Delhi University, if you are eligible for any College according to a particular cutoff and you have not applied for it you will not be given admission to it in that cutoff. But you can apply for college in next cutoff but as you missed your seat in previous cutoff you will be considered as a 'defaulter' and will be called for admission on the third day of next cutoff.
Good Luck!
Hi Sutirtha,
You cannot expect to be admitted in Zakir Hussain College on the basis of merit only. If you have An ECA or sports quota then there is some hope for you. If your question remains unanswered or you have any more queries then feel free to ask.
