AAU Jorhat Facilities

Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat has adequate infrastructural facilities for the students and staff such as medical facilities to cater to the medical needs, a library with a collection of agricultural books and other reading materials. It also provides indoor and outdoor sports facilities for the students and encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities, competitions and cultural activities.

Library
AAU Jorhat library has a vast collection of books, periodicals, back volumes, postgraduate theses, popular magazines and newspapers. In addition, the Library has CAB-CDs, CABI e-books of agriculture and allied fields covering the period 1972-2012 and onwards.
I.T Infrastructure
The university has a modern IT infrastructure to meet the basic needs of students.
Medical/Hospital
AAU Jorhat has a medical unit that caters to the medical needs of students, faculty and staff. The primary role of the unit is to provide rapid definitive assessment, investigation and treatment of emergency patients. Under the welfare of the university, the medical unit provides 24 hours ambulance services for the employees and students of AAU Jorhat.
Sports
AAU Jorhat sports department provides both indoor and outdoor games. The university has an eight-lane running track, kabaddi, football and hockey grounds, basketball, tennis, volleyball, badminton courts.

College Infrastructure

Studied here 7 yr continuous and infrastructure was really awesome. Infrastructure is newly launched and cover all necessary from both academic and extracurricular activities . Overall college infrastructure iv very beautiful.

Hello Aspirant,

The admission process is likely to start in August month of this year.

Assam Agriculture University is a d eemed University at Jorhat in Assam administers its entrance exam for admission.

Eligibility for UG course

Age - 16 years of age must be attained as of 1 August 2022.
Qualified HSC with physics, chemistry, biology and agriculture possessing 50% marks or above for UR/OBC and 40% marks or above for SC/ST/DAC.

For PG

A B.Sc. in agriculture/ horticulture/ Agri. Biotech/ B. Tech fisheries science graduate or degree in another related field of 4 years from UGC accepted university.
Minimum OGPA

Gen/OBC/UPS:- 6.60/10.00 or 3.25/5.00
SC/ST/DAC:- 5.60/10.0 or 2.75/5.00

Assam Agriculture University happens to be the first agricultural university in the north eastern region of the country. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Home Science, Fisheries Science, Horticulture and Sericulture.

Admission into all B.Sc. courses is on the basis of merit in 10+2 examination. Counseling is done at the university level for the course. Candidates can fill in the admission form online and pay the entrance fee.

The minimum requirement is the successful completion 10+2 from a recognized board.
