History of the Department The University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, popularly known as UVCE, is one of the most prestigious colleges imparting Technical Education in the state of Karnataka. The College as well as Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1917 by the greatest Engineer of the Country, Statesman of modern times Bharata Rathna Sir. M. Visvesvaraya. Since its inception, the department has grown by leaps and bounds producing highly competent graduates, postgraduates and doctorates who have occupied prestigious positions both in India and abroad.


Eligibility Criteria

Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

Admission Details

Candidates who qualify in Common Entrance Test (CET) / Aptitude test conducted by Government of Karnataka are eligible to the Under Graduate Engineering / Architecture courses. The selection of candidates to the college is done by counselling at CET centre by the Government. Candidates belonging to Union Territory, Government of India are also admitted to the college by the Central Government.

One of the best college in Bengaluru, And it has best infrastructure along with that it built in 1917 by a Sir M Visvesvaraya college of Engineering. In last year complete college is altered and established in better manner as described in present technology .

Yaa our college have all necessary infrastructure but have in limited,and facilities and equipment are theirs ex purifier water , workshop,labs, washroom are there car parking, etc..abd it's the 1st college made in Karnataka by Visvesvaraya. And library has wifi .
