Very good campus life. Value for money obviously.

    College Infrastructure

Very good, new campus. Well structured class rooms and practical room, seminar room also available. There is a different room for exam called exam room. Overall college infrastructure is very good as it is a new campus.

    Academics

Though lack of some subject's teacher but overall it good enough. As it is a new campus. Bckv bankura was established on 2015, that's why lack of teachers is a problem. But it is done by university professor who came in regular basis

    Placements

Very poor. As campus is new that's why there is no placements faculty available as well as no placement facility is available on university also. There is very few scope of placement if you have strong connection with teachers.

    Value for Money

Yes definitely it's value for money

    Campus Life

This is the best when it comes to campus life of bckv.

    Others

Well, good campus life, practical knowledge of agriculture.

    College Infrastructure

Yes, there are all required necessity infrastructure, facilities and equipments. There are sufficient intake capacities, well developed and updated classrooms, labs, libraries, sports centres and hostels.Facilites like wifi, good electricity are there. All campus is enogh clean and hygienic.

    Academics

I'm studying agricultural engineering, for good higher education facilities. Quality of teaching is good enogh. Faculty teachers are good. Yes the curriculum is updated and field works aare done regularly. No this course study doesn't makes you job ready but it opens a great scope of higher study.

    Placements

Nowadays placement cell is not active properly.Later days hope it will continue. Previous days placements are offered like 6LPA on an average. Highest package of 10 LPA. Few placements that come are centralised and only seniors get them.

    Value for Money

Present day the course fees is about 22k.These course is quite value for money course. Here the big library facility is great worth of money.

    Campus Life

Campus life is so good. Sports activities, travel, educational tours are there. Student teacher relation including seniors are great. The location is in the centre of the city. It is safe and secured.

    Others

Overall it's a quite good university.

Good college for higher study environment in agriculture

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

For Btech UG it is considerable but for pg and Mtech I would not prefer the infrastructure especially in this course because of the lack in updated practical instruments in the labs and the teaching faculty is not sufficient.

    Academics

I'm currently studying Btech agricultural engineering, although the faculty consists of great individually experienced profs but the course curriculum needs to be more upto date with the recent job environment. The faculty will prepare you more for competitive exams rather than jobs

    Placements

There is no placement. The placement cell has been closed for years now. A few companies do come once in a while but they are centralised and the jobs are mostly taken by seniors with an average package of 5-6lpa. College is not that supportive towards placements and push students more towards competitive exams.

    Value for Money

My course costs around 6775/- per semester in Btech which forms a total of around 60K for the entire 4 years course which generally for any Btech college seems less but because of the lack of placement it might be an issue

    Campus Life

Great campus life with plenty of opportunities of sports and other co curriculum, there is a social programme every year which brings on great artists from all over India.

    Others

It is an okay choice to consider if you are passionate about agriculture and want to pursue higher studies regarding it.

    recommended for Agricultural engineering students

    College Infrastructure

College infrastructure are very poor specially laboratories, sports centres but hostel facilities are really good. campus and living spaces are very clean and and very much hygienic . But in all the negetivity of college infrastructure classrooms are really good .

    Academics

i am studying agricultural engineering at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya for these i am interested with mainly agricultural related subjects like soil science, agronomy etc . Our carriculam is not updated but this field has great future .

    Placements

Placements are really very poor in our college and you can say 0 % but 2-3 years ago many students got placed in various companies . In horticulture faculty, 45 students out of 48 students got placements but now a days Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural engineering both 3 faculty placements are very much poor.

    Value for Money

When we admitted at our college we paid 10225/-rupees and in every semester we pay 6775/- rupees and this is very much high than other government college . After 4 years of graduation if we will get placed then it is OK but in no placement it is really very much high .

    Campus Life

In one sentence campus life are best of our life . Students and authorities both are together arranged the various cultural activities like freshers programme for 1st year students, social, inter year cricket, football competition etc. Students specially seniors are very helpful and teachers and support staff are really very good . This location is very safe for us and it can handles all the emergencies

Overall good enough college for BTech agriculture.

    College Infrastructure

Our college has good infrastructure and facilities and well technical equipment. Our classrooms are full of all required facilities . Our central library is full of our engineering books and all competitive books also. Sports centres are full of facilities and hostels are also good and well maintained. Living spaces are clean and food also very hygienic.

    Academics

I am studying agricultural engineering because this course has good opportunity for our future carrier. Teaching quality is also very good and standard . The study notes are very helpful for our future competitive exam.

    Placements

Placements are not good. college is supportive but not so much helpful for our placement program, most students try to get into renowned colleges through exams like GATE or CAT and because if the low competition in this course the chances of getting into good colleges is great.

    Value for Money

Our course cost is near about 13000. Money investing for this course in our college not will be bad.

    Campus Life

Campus life is good full of academics environment with a cozy ambience.

    Others

College experience is good and will be memorable.

Good choice for an agricultural university with good faculty

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Facilities - Great classrooms, dedicated labs, workshops for MTech and BTech students, huge campus farms for practical use, tractors and other farm equipment, playgrounds, 13 individual hostels, Central Gymnasium and personal hostel gyms, canteens, etc. HOSTELS - Great food mostly cooked with organic self-grown stuff, hostel hygiene could be better but the rooms are enormous.

    Academics

I'm a BTECH student studying agricultural engineering, Other courses available are - MTECH, MSC, BSC, Ph.D. The faculty comprises renowned scientists and highly qualified teachers with industry experience. It therefore becomes easy for students to secure good jobs and great higher study options with the help for the faculty.

    Placements

There are no per se placements as such, most students try for higher studies and are able to secure good govt jobs through exams, a few placements that are provided are for basic govt jobs in remote areas with around 5lpa package. A few seed banks come once in a while but usually students go for MTECH in IITs and MBA in IIMs.

    Value for Money

The semester fees is around 6.2K per semester in BTECH (my course) and 7K per semester in MTECH. Thus a total of around 50K for 4 years of engineering degree. The hostel takes a security deposit of 5K and there are no monthly hostel fees just a food charge of around 2-2.5K that too is decided by the students.

    Campus Life

There is a health center and 24/7 ambulance and hospital facilities available in the campus. Teachers, staff, and seniors are always trying to help you. Sometimes there can be a hygiene issue in the hostel but other than that there are ample extra curricular activities.

    Others

Overall great option as an agricultural btech course in low fees and great faculty

One of the best Agricultural Universities in India

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Our college has a huge campus and is equipped with all the necessary facilities needed for the students to extract everything from their course, it has laboratories for specific majors as well as training areas for Btech and Mtech grads. The central library is regarded as the second largest agricultural library in India. It has indoor and outdoor game facilities, and in hostel and central gymnasium, the hostel food is very good and hygienic. Campus has 10+ farms for student practicals.

    Academics

Teachers are highly knowledgeable and come from reputable institutions, they are always helping students and understanding their issues. Classes are regular and disciplined, with a balance of practical and theoretical content. The college and faculty provide the best environment to prepare for various exams, and most students are able to crack tough all-India exams because of the top notch classes and faculty help.

    Placements

Placements are few and are mostly centralised in nature thus the competition for them is very high but 90% students in the university aim for higher studies in reputable institutions like IARI, IITs, IIMs, etc and almost everyone is able to secure a seat because of the great academic environment and helpful faculty. In BTECH, approximately 20% of students are placed with an average package of 5-6 LPA.

    Value for Money

Probably one of the best things about the university is its ROI, most students are able to do very well after graduation and the money spent on the overall education is very less. Currently for BTECH course the total expense for the 4 years would be around 48K, that is 6K per semester. There is no hostel residential fee, just a monthly amount of around 2500 for food which is also decided by the students.

    Campus Life

Campus life is great, the college campus is huge with acres of farms and lakes. Student activities include- debates, football, cricket, table tennis, all-India cultural events on agriculture, etc. Every year their is a 2-3 day long fest which calls some of the most reputatable artists from the state. Teachers and staff are highly involved in day to day student activities and provide full support for both academic and cultural excellence.

    Others

If you are looking for a good return on investment college for a great agricultural degree and on field practical academic experience with all India based faculty exposure, this is a great choice of university.
