You can get the job,the requirement of Scientists for each CSIR lab will be advertised in the Employment news . The minimum qualification required is B.E/ B.Tech/M.Sc in the required field. Persons with higher qualification will be preferred. People who are pursuing doctorate with a CSIR fellowship in CSIR laboratories can also apply for these posts. Their chances of getting selected for these is very high.The details regarding eligibility criteria will be given in the recruitment advertisement. The candidates having required qualification can apply for the post. All the applications will be screened by a screening committee and a list of candidates will be forwarded to RAB. RAB will constitute a committee. The committee will decide on the mode of selection. They may conduct a written test based on the number of applications. Otherwise the selected candidates will be called for oral test. Based on the performance in written and oral tests, a list of selected candidates will be forwarded to the laboratory after taking approval from The Director General CSIR. The director of the lab who issued the advertisement will issue the appointment letters.

The entrance examinations for admissions to CMI's academic programmes for the academic year 2021–2022 will be held on Sunday, 27 June, 2021. Details about the application procedure for 2021 will be announced by the end of February, 2021.

The syllabus of CMI entrance test for bsc in mathematics and cs are an aptitude for mathematics at class 12 level and includes subjects like permutation,combination,integration,differential equation etc.It includes objective questions and cover fields like arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.

In order to take admission in IIST for MS in Astronomy ans Astrophysics you are eligible because you need to have a B.E/B.Tech degree or you must have Msc in Physics, Space Physics, Space Science, Space Science and Technology or GATE in any one of these subjects - Physics/Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Engineering Sciences. Yes there is a category wise reservation in CMI also.
For admission to all the courses of the Institute, CMI follows a mechanism in order to ensure reservation for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Physically Challenged (PC) categories (collectively referred as Reserved categories) as per the policy of the Government of India (GoI).
However the number/ percentage of seats reserved for different categories is not disclosed by the Institute.

The infrastructure is well set up and maintained. The management does a good job at taking feedback from students about the facilities and takes appropriate measures when necessary. The classrooms are smart board enabled and the internet connectivity is good too. Food tastes average but it is clean.
It has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments. The campus is very safe to the students. Here all students have 24 hour access to Computer lab equipped with HIgh speed Wi-Fi, library, etc. It has multiple discussion areas where students can gather in a group of three or four and study together without any disturbance.
