UPES B.Sc Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #46 amongst Universities in India by NIRF | Ranked #1 in Academic Reputation in India by QS World University Rankings
Hello,
According to historical tendencies, you should.
This year, it will depend on how well students perform generally and the extent to which the increase in seats has an impact (this year, 75 percent of seats shall be filled via the SCB channel). That will ultimately determine which IISER you receive.
But in my opinion, with a score of 124, you should surely get admitted to IISER Pune.
Good Luck!!
Dear Aspirant,
It is quite hard to predict the exact situation as it depends on the number of students willing to take admission in the college and the seat matrix of the college.
There are 200 seats in Pune and about 20 are reserved for EWS candidates.
Going by this trend we can say that you have a good chance of getting into Pune campus in further rounds.
Keep in mind that Pune is one of the most preferred branches of IISER and hence is highly competitive so there might a lower chance of people dropping the seat in Pune.
So, please be prepared to go to IISER Kolkata as well.
Hope this helps.
Hi
To secure a seat in any of IISER, you must score 83-85 but the level of difficulty can be unpredictable. The questions keep on changing along with the pattern of the exam. Seeing the cut-off trends of the previous 3 years, a score above 105 will be enough to secure you a seat in 1st round itself.
hello aspirant,
With the above mentioned EWS category rank in IAT and according to the previous year IISER Pune Cutoff, you have good chances of getting admission in IISER Pune with your EWS category rank. the previous year IAT cutoff for EWS category in order to get admission in IISER Pune was around 2022.
further, please note that the above prediction is based on the previous year IISER cutoff and the actual rank may vary.

Dear Aspirant,
It is quite hard to predict the exact situation as we don't have any official cutoffs and this depends on the number of students willing to take admission in IISER Pune.
There are about 200 seats in IISER Pune and it is one of the most preferred IISERs and hence it is highly competitive.
So, we can say that you have a decent chance of getting IISER Pune in the last rounds as most students generally don't take admission into IISERs when they get into NITs/ medical colleges. Yet, you have a really good chance of getting IISER Kolkata / IISER Mohali (depending on what your other choices were).
You will definitely get into one of the IISERs with this rank.
Hope this helps.
Dear aspirant,
It is quite hard to predict the situation as it depends on the number of students attempting the exam and the preferences of students.
There are 200 seats in IISER Pune. Going by this, we can say that you have a really good chance of getting into IISER Pune in second or third round. There are usually a lot of students who don't take admission into IISERs after IAT results.
Hence, we can say that you have a really good chance of getting IISER Pune.
Hope this helps.

Dear aspirant,
IISER-TVM and Pune both offer five-year BS-MS Dual degrees. There are a few differences though.
In IISER-TVM you'll have to do all courses (Physics, chemistry, math and biology) for four semesters and you'll have to pick a major in the third year (fifth semester). These are basic introductory courses and in IISER Pune this happens only for the first three semesters after which you'll get to pick two disciplines as pre major choice for one semester and then move on to one discipline for major coursework. You have the liberty of not choosing a major in IISER-Pune. You can take courses to fulfill the credits and you'll graduate with a BS-MS in Science instead of a BS MS in biology/ physics/math/chemistry. This option is not available in TVM. Other than that everything else like is almost similar between both the institutions.
Hope this helps.
Hello Aspirant,
IISER Pune does not furnish this course. But BS degree in Data Science and Engineering is provided by IISER Bhopal since 2019.
The DSE BS program is a 4-year interdisciplinary course and furnishes a direction to learners to deal with data, and have an insight into various equipment and procedures to accomplish analytics.
IIT Kanpur provides a 5-year BS-MS Degree in Statistics and Data Science.
The admissions to the programs will be by JEE (Advanced).
The program will concentrate on sectors of Fundamental Statistical and Mathematical, Computational, and Data Science application courses.
Students will also have the chance to do elective courses from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Hey student,
You need to score more than 100-110 atleast to secure a seat at the IISER. You can also get admission over there with your jee advance rank. You'll have to focus on your studies Don't stress.
All the best student,
Hope this helps you.
If you want you can reject your seat or don't take admission in it and then reattempt the examination next year. Or you can float and see if there are any upgrades available for you in the next rounds. Its dependent on you and based on your interest you should take the decision.

IISER Pune, spread across under acres of land with a good infrastructure and facilities as it includes good classroom a good laboratories with a sports center as well and they were not hostile facilities being available as these all are used and being well maintained.
There is smart classroom with comfortable benches and a projector facility. Wi-Fi facility is provided to the students. Canteen of our college is average and the quality of food is good. The hostel food in good and healthy.
The college is big and beautiful. According to my prospective our college infrastructure is quite good according to other colleges we have a big basketball ground and a very big library in B Tech building and also have sanitation facility and water facilities provided in each department.
