Doon University situated in dehradun has one of the best infrastructure and campus. Many trees and greenery in the campus is the best thing to enjoy. Classrooms, buildings , laboratories and library are average. Hostel life in doon University is so amazing, we have an average fee amount with lots of facilities and mess food is above average.
Doon University provides us experienced faculty, revised curriculum as per UGC and a good environment to study. Libraries are well maintained with WiFi facility for self study. University is above average for research purposes. Process of conduction of exams is very fair and strict.
Placement rates in doon University are pretty average. Students need to focus on out campus placements. Since the university is newly built and many departments have just started few years ago, the current placements are not so good but definitely ill increase in future.
The fees in doon University is pretty higher than other government colleges as it is under state government. But in comparison with other universities in dehradun the fees is so minimal according to the facilities. Our course costs 17k -24k per semester.
Campus life in doon University is what students love and remember the most. As the campus is so beautiful and their is barely any restriction to walk or sit around the campus the experience is overwhelming. Campus is so safe for all students and faculty members.
College infrastructure is pretty good. There is a need for more clean washrooms. Library facilities are good. Wifi doesn't work properly in every place. Normal white boards are there but classes lack smart boards.
I have studied maths honours from there to complete my graduation as I had interest in Maths. The quality of teaching should be improved most of the students are not satisfied with it. There is no placement facilities there...so people switch to different colleges or professions.
There are no placements here....................People are switching their professions and courses after doing graduation......... people do not see any bright future continuing from there..............
Our course did cost 35000 per year which is quite affordable amount and most of the people want to do the graduation from here as it is semi government college and fees is quite good. It is not that much worthy but for that much fees we get degree and it is quite ok.
College campus is very friendly ver open. A lot of plants and trees are there which makes the campus really very beautiful..... students around are very friendly and safe to study with.........it is safe inside the campus.
Better teaching quality should be there. Some innovative kind of techniques should be introduced so that students get interested in their respective subjects.
The college can work on hostel wifi. Sometimes it work but mostly it doesn't. The food is quite good but weekly inspection can be done. The college can really focus on the sports centre and should provide basic equipment to the students.
I'm a student of MSc Maths. The teachers are really helpful. Time to time the curriculum gets updated. Lecture part is good but practical knowledge in maths lab can really help students to get jobs easily.
In our college the language department have the best placement other than that we didn't get that much of the exposure. Last year one girl in language department (Japanese) got the package of 13 lakh.
My course fee is around 42,000 per year which I think is okay. I think that in this much fees I'm getting quite good education. The faculty of my department is very nice and helpful. I think that the money is worth it.
The campus is very beautiful as well as safe. We are provided with many facilities like sports. One can engage in whatever one like. The college can work on canteen area as there is only one canteen so sometimes the food quality is not upto that mark.
Our college has good infrastructure! Everyone who visits our college always says that the campus looks very scenic and beautiful as it has well maintained buildings and a lot of tress. It has all the facilities such as a spacious library, 3 hostels, good wifi which is appreciated by the students.
I was a student of mathematics honours in Doon University. The teachers took classes very regularly and they are all highly qualified tho the students may lack in understanding some concepts which then they have to figure out themselves. Though we studied mathematics on a higher level but I don’t think that makes us job ready yet as we need some practical knowledge too!
This year the placements have been quite good from our college although they weren’t for my course. The highest salary package offered this year was around 14 lpa to two students from German course. The average salary offered was around 4-5 lpa.
My tuition fee cost around ₹35000 per year which is quite reasonable and affordable as its a government college. Yes I feel we got our money’s worth as the fees is very low compared to other colleges and teachers are very keen on regular classes and exams which makes it a fair deal.
Our college campus is quite beautiful as it is covered in beautiful trees and has a scenic view. Students can be active in sports as it has a big ground, a basketball court, volleyball court, tennis court, indoor stadium too! Location is is the outskirts of Dehradun so its a little aside from the main market. The area is safe and as it has 3 hostels it can handle emergency issues.
I stayed at this college for 3 years as I was a hosteller, I would say those were the best 3 years of my life ofcourse full of ups and downs but still good. An evening walk around the campus would fix a lot of issues. Campus looks exceptionally beautiful after a shower or too plus as it is located beside a river named Rispana it is colder than the rest of the regions which makes a plus point.
Doon University has decent buildings and labs but could use improvements some facilities could be improved for a better learning experience no WiFi is there no proper labs are there hostels are average hostel food is not at all good.
The BSc Math program covers a lot but lacks depth in some areas, with varying quality of teaching. The curriculum is updated but it does not gets completed timely because of which students has to face problem.
Job opportunities are average, with some companies visiting, but more support would improve outcomes, career guidance and support could be enhanced for better placement outcomes and help students for future prospects.
Reasonable fees. While tuition fees are reasonable, the overall value for money could be improved with better infrastructure, academic support, and placement opportunities and can give students more worth of it.
Vibrant with activities, but more options would enhance the overall experience.some of the staff is good but not all some of them are too arrogant they does not complete the work timely and student has to face problem.
College needs to keeps updated for its betterment.
Doon University's buildings and facilities are okay, but they need some changes to work better. They're trying to make things better, but they still have a ways to go. It's getting there, but there's still work to be done to make everything really good.
The teachers at Doon University mostly talk about theories without showing us how things work in real life. We want to see practical examples to understand better. If they showed us how things work in real life, it would make learning a lot more interesting and helpful.
At Doon University, students doing BSc and MSc don't get job placements, but those in language and management courses do. It's important to improve job opportunities for Bachelor, BSc, and MSc students too. That way, everyone can have better chances of getting a job after studying.
The fees at Doon University are fair, but what we get for that money isn't great. We're not getting the quality of education we should for what we're paying. They need to make sure we're getting our money's worth in education.
At Doon University, the campus is nice with lots of trees for shade. But there's not enough things to do besides classes, and the college staff isn't very helpful. They should add more activities and be more supportive to make it better for students.
Improving management can ensure students' rights are upheld effectively, fostering a better campus environment for all.
The infrastructure of Doon University, Dehradun is beautiful. Grounds and canteen are well-maintained and are taken care of. There is a hi-tech lab and a central library which are easy to access. Everything was good .
Academics of Doon University, Dehradun is quite good. My sister had been there for here graduation . Teachers and staff was nice towards the students. They used to help us in every where either it was studying or real life.
Few companies visit our college for placements. Companies that visit our college offer decent salary packages as per the college's reputation. There are few opportunities to get good salary packages from here. If you choose this college for admission, you will have to decide to opt either for off-campus job placements or basic salary placements.
Infrastructure is good but regarding the necessary equipments.. It lacks it. The campus is clean and other necessary facilities are also available with a lot of extra curricular activities one can do. Canteen is also nice.
Till now quality of teaching has been pretty average. The curriculum is uptodate and it's overall nice. It could be better with more interactive sessions with teachers and a better way of teaching can be opted.
I don't really know much but there are frequent placement drives in clg and yea I think it's good. Companies are there for placement drives once in a while and overall I think it's good that the university is working in this particular area.
Per year it costs around 36,000 and ig I am getting my money's worth
Campus life is pretty awesome cuz campus is big and pretty. There are ALOT of extra curricular activities for one to engage in. The teachers and staff are also pretty supportive.
The infrastructure of the college is good .The old buildings look good from the outside but inside they are not that great though now clg has started working a lot on inside infrastructure. WiFi is not proper. Library is good. Laboratories are also good.
The teachers are amazing .They have good experience of teaching .they are highly skilled and teaches everything in detail though the time to complete the semester was not given much teachers try to complete the syllabus on time.
The placement is not available for everyone there is placement only for the mba department and language department. Language department has highly profiled teacher and focuses a lot on the overall growth of a student.
The college is worth the fees as getting a hons degree in other colleges cost too much but doon university is providing every thing in a very affordable price that everyone can afford and also campus is amazing.
The college celebrates every fest and event with zeal and enthusiasm. College is seen working hard on improving the campus life of the students. Teachers staff everything all were very helpful and take immediate actions.
I loved my college a lot bcz of my friends who made my college life memorable.
The college infrastructure is pretty average . The building looks good for outside but once you enter the building you can clearly see that it requires to be repaired. But that doesn't apply to all the building some of the building that were constructed recently are good. The college has a very nice atmosphere with lots of greenery and it looks beautiful.
I think the college really gets to focus on the academics section as it is not that great . The faculty is constantly changing which is not good. Plus the there no such environment for studying which should change.
The placement opportunities are very less. There are only few courses for which there are some on campus placement but other than those courses there are no such placement opportunities which should be a concern.
The fees that we pay is quite worth it which is a good factor plus the college does not demand for any find of extra fees for any other such activities that are being conducted in the college. So the fees factory is good .
The campus life is good but it is all thanks to the friends yoy make the college has nothing to do with it . But now the college tries to conduct some fun activities which makes your campus life a little fun.
