The university's infrastructure is quite old, reflecting its long history. While it includes the necessary technologies for modern education, the buildings could definitely use some renovation to enhance the overall campus environment. It would make a big difference in how the space feels.
I completed my bcom from here and found the academic experience quite rewarding. The teachers are very experienced and knowledgeable, which was a major advantage for me. They have a deep understanding of their subjects, although their traditional teaching style might not suit everyone.
Unfortunately, the placement opportunities weren’t as strong as I had hoped. Even though the university is a central government institution, the placement support was lacking, which was a significant drawback for me.
One of the best aspects was the extremely low fees, making it a great value for money. Despite the affordable cost, I felt that the education I received was quite good, especially given the limited budget.
I enjoyed a supportive and engaging campus life. My involvement in NCC was particularly valuable, offering numerous personal development opportunities. The campus atmosphere was respectful and welcoming, which added to my positive experience.
In summary, my time at Hemavati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University was overall amazing. The affordable fees and knowledgeable faculty were highlights, though the outdated infrastructure and weak placement support are areas that could use improvement.
HNB Garhwal University's chauras and srinagar campus library has a rich collection of over 31000 text and references books are there. The quality of facilities in our hostel and the quantity of food available in the mess and canteen is pretty decent. The college canteen is very well built, but it really doesn't matter because it's not open for the students or anyone else.
The teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and a good source of knowledge, and help us a lot in our academics. They are very supportive and kinded person. Semester exams was a bit difficult but if you study well you can easily get good grades.
Our college offers great placements in different companies in the private sector. But they didn't provide any internship opportunities for students and some time student has to go for walk in placement. Previous year figures are yet to released by our campus. But approved half of the students get placed every year.
My course fees was ₹68000/year.
Decent campus.
Nothing.
The campus is 10 acres in total. The building is not much good, but it is enough for students. The sports ground is not bad, and during the rainy days, it will be affected. Most of the roads in our college are not much good, but the infrastructure is good.
In this college, the faculty members are not much trained, but the previous year, they were the best. Now, the faculty members have been changed. Students are facing difficulties in adapting to the new teachers. Their way of teaching is good, and they will explain clearly.
round 50% to 60% of students were placed from our course. The highest salary offered was Rs. 55,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 6,000 per month. Wipro and Infosys are recruiting companies for our course. Around 60% to 70% of students got internships from our course. Hardware jobs are offered in our course.
Yes college is value for money
So good
Nothing else
Wi-Fi is available in hostel and campus as well. All labs are available on campus for all the branches, like electronics lab, Mechanical lab, Computer lab, etc. A library is also at the college. 24 *7 electricity is available in the hostel. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is good. Sports and games competitions are also held regularly in college.
All professors are well-qualified. They are Ph.D. holders. The teaching quality is acceptable. The semester exams are very easy. The pass percentage is around 30%. The course curriculum is not updated. In the future, the course has the potential to be excellent and prepare students for the industry.
About 70% of students get placed in the college. The highest package is 34 lac and the average package is about 6 lac. Companies like TCS and Wipro visit the college for placements. Internships depend on your skills. The college will guide you about the internship; you need to grab it.
Good infrastructure.
The Ground facilities is good , athletic track , basketball court, volleyball court, cricket nets, table tennis , gym facilities , judo room , and supportive ground staff , coaches and physical education teacher.
Coaching and officiating, sports training , sports psychology, kinesiology and biomechanics, health education , anatomy and physiology , history of physical education, athletic care and rehabilitation and etc.
I have seen no placement till the time I was in the college and there was no placement cell in my college. The people who studied here mostly pursue for higher education like M.Ped and Ph.D in the field of Physical education.
In the past, the facilities were quite basic, but they've improved a lot recently. Classrooms and labs are now better equipped, and the library has more resources. There are also better recreational and sports facilities.wifi is proper and hostel is affordable and cheap and also living space is clean.
Academics have improved. The curriculum is up-to-date, and teachers are more experienced and engaging. There are more chances for practical learning and real-world exposure. The teaching style has also changed a lot.
Placements have gotten better, though there's still room to grow. More companies are visiting the campus, and the university is building stronger industry connections. Not all students get jobs through campus placements, but it's improving each year.
The B.Com program is good value for the money. The fees are reasonable, and with the recent improvements, students get a better overall experience. Scholarships make it even more affordable and thus it is good.
There are more clubs, events, and extracurricular activities to keep students engaged. The sense of community on campus has gotten much better.Campus life is more lively now with new facilities and activities.
Overall, it’s a good choice for B.Com students who want a balanced college experience.
Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU) in Uttarakhand provides great facilities for students. Classrooms have smart boards and WiFi. Labs are for practical learning, and the library has lots of books. There are sports centers and clean hostels. The university serves healthy food. HNBGU supports students in their studies and personal development.
I graduated with a B.Com from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU) .I chose this course to understand business and finance better. The teaching is really good, with practical lessons. The curriculum covers the latest trends in finance and management, preparing us for jobs with hands-on experience in projects and internships.
The college offers average placement opportunities but overall placements vary. The process is straightforward with support from the college yet success depends on individual efforts and industry demand.
The course costs very little, making it easy for many students to afford. Despite the low cost, the education is excellent, giving students valuable learning experiences. This makes it a great investment in education.
The college campus is scenic with modern facilities, though it's somewhat remote. Students enjoy cultural events, sports, and clubs. The students are diverse and committed, and the teachers and staff are supportive. Located in a peaceful area, the campus is safe with effective emergency plans in place.
Infrastructure and academy cademy provides modern facilities, moderate placements, good value for money, and a vibrant campus life.
Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in Pauri Garhwal has basic infrastructure like classrooms and libraries. It meets academic needs but lacks modern facilities.Hostels are okay .living space is clean and hygienic too.
The university provides a satisfactory learning environment, especially for subjects like Mathematics. Teachers are supportive and knowledgeable the curriculum is also updated and help students to get prepared .
Job opportunities are limited due to limited support from the university in terms of placements and industry connect .There is a basic placement that happens for some departments only like engineering and management.
The university has very less fees and is value for money. It could improve by enhancing facilities and support services for students. The fees is affordable, at around 1700 per semester. This makes it accessible for every student.
The staff at Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University is okay, but they could be more supportive. Students find things unnecessarily difficult, which can be frustrating. This lack of support hinder academic progress and overall student experience.
This college has invested heavily in its infrastructure. The academic blocks are well-designed with modern facilities. The central library is vast and well-stocked. The sports complex is impressive, offering facilities for various indoor and outdoor sports.
Academic life at our college is robust and engaging. The professors are not just teachers but mentors who guide us through complex concepts with ease. The coursework is demanding but stimulating, pushing us to achieve our best. The academic support services, including writing centers and peer tutoring, are incredibly beneficial.
The placement experience at our college was smooth and well-organized. The placement cell's dedication to student success. They arranged numerous pre-placement talks and workshops, which greatly helped in understanding company expectations.
The campus is having value for money.
The campus life is great.
Nothing
It is a good college but infrastructure can be improved and facilities can also be improved as i studies in DAV PG college which is a part of this university but the classroom and overall infrastructure was not so good
Academic wise its not that great Professor dont come on daily basis and they also dont teach that great . They should focus more on their professors. Students just come there for degree not for study purpose
I have never seen any coming visiting this college . Its almost been 4 year but within this duration nope of the company came for placement . Students mostly come to degree purposes . This college don’t care about our future
As it is a government college so it is value for money as the fees paid my me was very less and every person can afford to study here . As i came to ofher college it is great from fees perspective but from carrer view this is the worst colllege
There is no campus life as such as students rearly come to this college to study. Some comes for becoming a politicians , some come just for degree and some for timepass overall there is nothing good in this college except fees
I would recommend everyone not to go to this college . If you want to make your carrer just go for a better college where you can learn things, live college life but choosing this college was the biggest mistake of my life
Hello aspirant,
There are many placement opportunities with good package in CS and IT field. basically student should must obtain atleast 65 percentage in all over his/her academics. students with minimum of 65% are eligible for placements. As of now it will be good and better to obtain 70% and above so that they will be eligible for all companies and placements. The average placement of CS and IT is 4.5 LPA. There are offers with high package based on the role and skillset.
