YSP University Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

YSP University has seven boys hostels that are well equipped with all modern facilities like a reading room, TV room, and common room with facilities for various indoor games. Aqua guard/ water coolers and refrigerators are also provided in all the YSP University boys' hostels. The YSP University boys hostels are overseen by the students' welfare officer, who is assisted by the hostel wardens. Every hostel has a chief and floor prefects, sports secretary, common room secretary, and mess in charge to manage the hostel's day-to-day activities under the overall supervision of the hostel wardens.

The university has a total of 10 girls' hostels and the hostels are equipped with various facilities such as a reading room, TV room, and common room with facilities for various indoor games. Other facilities available at the girls’ hostel are aqua guard/ water coolers and refrigerators. The students’ welfare officer is overall in charge of the hostels, who is assisted by the hostel wardens. Every hostel has a chief and floor prefects, sports secretary, common room secretary and mess in charge to manage day-to-day activities of the hostel under the overall supervision of the hostel wardens.

YSP University has a health centre that provides all students and residents with necessary medical services, including ambulance service, round the clock.

YSP University has a well-maintained gymnasium equipped with various gym equipment. The gym also has a trainer for proper training and guidance.

YSP University has a well-established modern library that serves the information needs of the academic community of the university. The entire collection of the YSP University library is computerised, and the OPAC is available electronically. The library has an extensive collection of documents and subscribes to numerous periodicals. There are also book banks, Interlibrary loan, document lamination, and reprographic services available. All important databases, such as CAB-CD, have been acquired by the library on CD-ROM. HORT-CD, TREE-CD, and numerous other databases on horticulture, forestry and allied disciplines.

The university has a large playground where various sports such as cricket, volleyball, hockey, football, kabaddi, and athletics can be played. A separate court is available for students to play basketball.

The university has a separate computer centre that provides information technology services to all faculty and students, as well as connectivity to the National Network via the Agricultural Research Information System (ARIS) of ICAR. All academic departments and offices on campus are connected via a local area network for resource sharing and information exchange.

The university has the facilities of a student centre, shopping centre, banks and post office.

The entire YSP University campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Students and faculty members can access the facility at any time from anywhere inside the university campus.

YSP University has a well-furnished cafeteria that serves hygienically-prepared fresh meals to the students and staff members at reasonable prices.

YSP University has well-equipped laboratories equipped with modern instruments and teaching aids. Separate laboratories for conducting undergraduate practicals are also available besides postgraduate laboratories catering to the latest research.
