The infrastructure of YSP University is great. This university is one of the top government universities for horticulture and forestry. The University has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities like labs, libraries etc.
The quality of teaching in YSP University is top notch. All the faculty members here have years of years experience in teaching and contain was knowledge regarding their respective fields. The curriculum includes all the recent developments.
Most of the students who have graduated from YSP University get the opportunity of recruitment by top government as well as private companies. The University has good reputation therefore the quality of placement is very good.
The college infrastructure is great, it provides the best facilities to the students from sports to the academics. The laboratories libraries and classrooms are updated each classroom is having the smart borads and hostels are provides free wifi for the students residing there.
I have done BSc. (Hons) Forestry from Y.S Parmar University i found that quality of education is great if someone wants to crack IFoS it is the best place to gain knowledge. Study makes one ready for the forest related jobs
University is organizing different programs from day to day and extra curriculum activities are also there but i think University need to work on providing placements and internships programs for the students.
Quality of education is much more important than the fees ... although fee is a bit higher but that will compensate with the education that you will get. However the the cost per year is high but if someone can afford should take admission in such a prestigious university
The location is amazing with several senic views. The campus is totally safe as several guards are alloted throughout the campus. The best part is that the everyone in the campus are very helpful and will support you during the course of your study
Best university for forestry and horticulture
Infrastructure is very good. Every kind of technology is available. Library which we can also access digitally, gymnasium for indoor sports, laboratories, smart classrooms and hostels are available here.
The teachers are well educated scientists and professors. We get to learn about the things practically as well as theoretically. As we are also working with farmers and have pursued industrial trainings I think we are job ready.
Placements from University is not available. We only have to do the things on our own whether to do a job or anything in higher studies. The university should pay attention on placements of students as it's very important.
The course might cost across 1 lakh per year for normal seat and about 2 lakhs pear year for self financing seats. I feel we are getting our money's worth as our field is so vast and we can enter any field irrespective of being a horticulture graduate.
I must say that campus Life is very awesome. Every thing is available inside the campus. Students are engaged in outdoor, indoor sports, foreign exposures for students have also been arranged. Teachers are very supportive and location is very beautiful and safe. In case of emergencies, we can get urgent help as the university is only 13 km away from Solan and we'll connected with road.
I would like to add as being a government University the fee structure is very high. The university is related to a field where farmers are engaged and if a farmer's child can't get to study here because of high fees what's the purpose of being a agriculture or horticulture University. The fees should be reduced so that a farmer's child can also study there and help his parents in farming.
All the necessary infrastructure and facilities are available in our college. From spacious classrooms to clean and well maintained laboratory to a really nice library. You will find all necessary equipment , books .
I'm a Forestry student . This course gives a whole wonderful package of knowledge on various wild tree species, wildlife, hydrology, grasses nd so on. The quality of teaching is good . Yes, our curriculum is updated and includes all recent developments in the field. Yes, it makes me job ready.
The quality of placement is not too good. As there are a lot of people studying this course and to get placement has got tough now. Only 50% of students are placed. But yes the college is really supportive towards this .
The course cost 60-65 thousand per year. Yes we are getting our money's worth as it provides us good knowledge on our subject and really help us to continue our further studies.
