Hello Snehal,
IISER offers admission in three channels - KVPY, SCB, JEE. Cut off marks for IISER admission 2019 for CBSE through SCB channel is 431 for general/EWS candidates.
For SCB channel the candidates will have to qualify the aptitude test and then they will be called for counselling based on the cut off marks.
All the Best!!!
As you have not specified the board from which you have done your class 12 i am considering it to be CBSE. According to the eligibility criteria set up by IISER , for SCB
The cut-off percentage for class 12 set by the board must be obtained in order to be eligible. The cut off for CBSE is around 88%. As you have only 80% you are not eligible. If you any other board, please writr in comment section
Hello Aswin,
PCB students can also apply for IISER.But to apply for BS programs in Economics and Engineering Sciences , you need to have studied maths in 10+2 level. The IISER aptitude test consists of questions from all four science subjects( Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology) with 25% marks on each section. You can refer the following link for more details on the exam.

Hello,
The IISER Aptitude Test contains 25% Maths questions.
Although it is not mandatory to have Maths background in class 12, it is NOT possible to give the exam without Maths.
If you don't have Maths in class 12, then you can learn the basics to score atleast few marks in the exam.
You can learn more about the IISER test and all related stuff from this link:

Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Hi,
Well if you have a knack for research and related fields then the bs ms dual degree will be one of the best choice that you can take. Just take that and in anyc IISER is considered to be one of the premier institute in research area.
I hope my answer helps.
All the best.
Yes , you can be selected . It all depends on your rank if you get a good rank , then you will surely be selected . You are eligible for the test as you need to get above the cut off which is calculated on the basis of PCM , a language and any optional course . If you have marks above the cut off , then you are eligible for the test. Now you need to get a very high score . Moreover, since you don't know Biology , you can't do anything about it . So you should face it with all your might .
Hello,
Yes, you can get admission in IISER 2020 without mathematics but with Biology, as the eligibility criteria specifies that the student has to be from the science stream in 12th with physics, chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects.
Therefore, if you have Biology in place of Mathematics you are eligible for iiser admission.
