Hello,
As per KVPY Eligibility Criteria you must be enrolled in the 1st year of UG program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology leading to B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. during the academic year 2019–20. Since you have scored 86% in class 12th Boards, the percentage satisfies the 12th class criteria provided your aggregate score in Maths and Science is more than 60% in 2019. In the 1st year final examination of B.Sc./B.S./B.Math./B.Stat./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. you must secure 60% marks before taking up the fellowship, if awarded. With a good rank, you can take admission in IISER through KVPY channel.

For IISER Pune and General Category : minimum 110/180
ANY one IISERs and General Category : minimum 70/180
Good luck and thank you.
Hello,
Yes all students who passed Class 12 or equivalent with science stream in 2018 or 2019 are eligible to apply. This means that that they are eligible to write exam. But if you get qualified in the IISER exam, you would be considered for admission procedures only if you have marks above cut-off that IISER released for each board exams. This year's portal is closed. If you are interested you can apply next year. You can read more about this at https://www.iiseradmission.in/
The entry point to IISER BS-MS course is through KVPY, JEE Advanced and then State and Central Boards Channel who should write the said IISER exam.
hello
It is not compulsory to ‘attempt’ biology but they will consider its marks in the total i.e. your marks will be out of 180. feel free to ask any doubts in the comments section and stay tuned for furhter updates. the additional subject will help you to score more.
Hello!
There is no sectional cutoff in IAT test but biology question parts also add to the total marks. So if you skip biology part then you have to do well in PCM part .You can also try reading NCERT biology books of 11 and 12 so that you can answer some basic questions which will add your extra marks as the biology part is not that hard.
Hope it answer your concerns!
