Magadh University, Bodhgaya Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

Apart from the various departmental seminar libraries, Magadh University has a large, spacious, well-furnished, and dedicated central library for its students. Housed in an exclusive multi-storied building, the central library is named Manual Central Library. It has about 1,62,245 books, manuscripts, and other reading materials, an e-database, thousands of National and International journals, weekly & monthly magazines, and daily newspapers in English and Hindi. Apart from books on technical subjects related to discipline and courses, it houses books of general interest like management, education, library science, tourism management, mass communication, and computer science. To support the research needs of its students, the library has approximately about 3000 theses in print, with both national and international recognition.

Sports Available for Boys Football, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Wrestling, Boxing, Power Lifting, Weight Lifting, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Chess, Archery, etc, and other athletic events are organised by the Directorate of sports of the University. University boys’ teams regularly participate in the East Zone and All India University Tournaments. 2. Sports Available for Girls Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Wrestling, Power Lifting, Weight Lifting, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Chess, Archery, etc, and all athletic events are organised by the Directorate of Sports of the University. University girls’ teams regularly participate in the East Zone and All India University Tournaments.

Magadh University has well-equipped Computer Labs for its students. There are around 162 Systems available with different sections and departments of the University. There is around a 35:1 computer and Student Ratio. Computing Labs have Dedicated Computer facilities Such as LAN Facilities. Magadh University is very keen to develop and enhance the ICT infrastructure to increase the computer-student ratio.

The University has good networking for the Alumni association. The Alumni Association facilitates connections and communication among former students. It organises various events and initiatives to foster a sense of community and engagement. The association provides opportunities for alumni to support the university and its current students. There are Eight big hostels on the university Campus having accommodation facilities for 1500 students. Magadh Hostel is Spacious, clean, and comfortable. Students can expect to have a good quality of life. The Mess Cater to the culinary preferences of students from diverse backgrounds and the student has adequate representation in decisions relating to the Hostel and the Mess.

Two Girl’s Hostel is also available to accommodate 150 girls students on the university campus. Magadh Hostel is Spacious, clean, and comfortable. Students can expect to have a good quality of life. Magadh Mess Cater to the culinary preferences of students from diverse backgrounds and the student has adequate representation in decisions relating to the Hostel and the Mess.

Though the Magadh University campus is centrally Wi-Fi since it is a huge campus the signals are not optimal in all areas. In such cases, Magadh University students of those hostels not having proper Wi-Fi coverage are provided with broadband internet connectivity.

A fully computerised branch of the Central Bank of India and an ATM is functioning on the campus. One S.B.I ATM is also functional near the main gate round the clock to serve students and staff on the Magadh University premises.

Magadh University Health Center – Cum –Dispensary provides medical facilities to students, teachers, and other employees residing on the university campus as well as outside the university campus around the clock. Magadh University Health Center has the service of doctors, nurses, and a sufficient number of supporting Para medical staff with indoor facilities besides a full-fledged Yoga Center.

Magadh University has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members. The guest rooms provide comfortable accommodations for short-term stays.
