Nalanda Open University caters well to distance learners with study centers and basic library facilities. However, the absence of advanced technology like interactive e-learning platforms or modern infrastructure hinders a seamless learning experience for students.
The academic setup is structured, offering detailed study materials that cover course essentials. While the curriculum is effective for independent learning, the lack of regular faculty interactions and practical exposure limits academic growth for some students.
Placement services are not a focus at Nalanda Open University. Students are expected to find career opportunities on their own, which can be challenging without institutional support. Initiatives like job fairs or career counseling could greatly improve outcomes.
The university provides an affordable option for distance education. While the cost is low, students need to complement their studies with additional resources and career guidance from external sources, which can impact the perceived value.
As a distance learning institution, the university does not provide a traditional college experience. Peer interaction is minimal, and there are no cultural or extracurricular activities. Online forums or student communities could help bridge this gap.
Nalanda Open University offers basic infrastructure suitable for distance learning. The library and study centers provide essential resources, but the lack of modern facilities like interactive digital platforms and online classrooms limits its potential for comprehensive education.
The university provides a strong theoretical foundation for courses, including History. Study materials are well-structured, but limited faculty interaction due to the distance mode affects personalized learning. Regular updates to study content and academic support could enhance the experience.
Placement support is minimal as the university focuses primarily on academic programs. Students seeking employment rely on self-efforts or external opportunities. Introducing career counseling and job assistance programs would significantly benefit learners.
Nalanda Open University is cost-effective, making education accessible to a wide range of students. While fees are affordable, the absence of advanced resources and career guidance means students need to invest additional effort to achieve their goals.
As a distance learning institution, Nalanda Open University lacks traditional college life. Interaction is limited to contact classes and examinations. Introducing virtual forums or alumni networks could improve peer engagement and overall student experience.
In 2013, Nalanda Open University had basic infrastructure suitable for distance education. Facilities included a library and administrative offices, but classrooms were minimal and lacked modern amenities. Digital resources were scarce, needing improvement for better accessibility.
In 2013, Nalanda Open University's academic infrastructure was basic. It featured a functional library, administrative offices, and minimal classrooms suitable for distance learning. However, the digital resources were limited, making it challenging to access study materials online. There was a need for better academic support and integration of modern learning technologies to enhance the overall learning experience.
In 2013, the placement services at Nalanda Open University were limited. The university primarily focused on providing distance education and did not have well-established placement support or opportunities for graduates. Career counseling and placement assistance were minimal, which made it challenging for students to find employment through the university. More efforts were needed to connect students with job opportunities in their respective fields.
In 2013, Nalanda Open University offered value for money considering its status as a distance learning institution. The fees were relatively low compared to other institutions, making education accessible to a broader range of students. However, the limited infrastructure and lack of modern resources impacted the overall quality of education, making it less effective for those seeking a comprehensive learning experience.
In 2013, college life at Nalanda Open University was limited due to its focus on distance education. Interaction among students was minimal, and there were few campus activities or social events. The experience mainly revolved around self-study and occasional contact sessions with tutors. There was a lack of extracurricular activities, clubs, or sports facilities, which could have enriched the student experience.
I don't know about now what is the college status but what I face in my time I mentioned all those things. It is a good college and one of the oldest
College infrastructure is good and available all type facilities. All facilities available in classroom. Library is average available articles and books in well maintained. College laboratory are good and available all equipment.
I am pursuing BCA and college teachers are skilled and knowledgeable. They have well knowledge about course. All facilities are active and good. Our curriculum are updated and well managed. They are cooperative to students.
This college lack of placement they provide minimum placement to the students. In this college few companies are attend for hiring the students. But this college supportive to students regarding career.
Good
Nice
Infrastructure is well and good. The new buildings are very decent and provides all the facilities a student needs. Also they have a big play ground. A big campus. It will give overall a good experience for college life.
Academics are very good. As they provide all types of courses, Intermediate, Undergraduate and Post graduate. Like BCA, MCA, B.Sc, M.Sc, BBA, B.Com, etc. If you want to complete your degree without attending regular Classes, then you can choose this college.
Placements are good. As we already know that companies generally didn't come to Open universities but this college provides opportunities through which you can directly apply for a job. They find the opportunities for us.
Yes, it's value for money. At this fees it's worth it.
Campus Life is average.
The infrastructure is quite good. They have big library, good classrooms, hygienic washrooms and large playgrounds. The faculty member are also very much supportive and always motivate students to focus on their studies.
The academic is good. They used to provide books from the college to study. Every thing was done in a good manner like the teaching method I'm talking about. I was studying Bachelor of Arts in Hindi honours from here. So for me it was quite good.
The quality of the placement is good. If someone wants a normal degree of honours they can apply for this college. The lowest placement package staring from 3 LPA. and the height approximately 8 LPA.
The course cost per year was 1 lakhs my total fees was three lakhs. In each semester I have to pay approx fifty thousand for three years course. I was doing Bachelor of Arts in Hindi honours from this college. I think it was a avarage experience for me in regards of the money.
The student were good and friendly. The faculties are very much supportive. The staffs are friendly in nature. The college is in Bihar Sharif, it is a semi urban area it is a safe place. I enjoyed my college and made many friends.
I would suggest that one might apply for this college if they are looking for Bachelor of Arts degree you can apply in this college.
There is almost sufficient rooms in the University building, that is in Biscomaun Bhavan, as every task gets done as far as I know. The library does also needs in my opinion to expand & update. But, the infrastructure needs to be updated as per the current times if the situation permits to, which may include equipping the classrooms with Air Conditioners, providing space to the all the students, i.e., atleast by alloting Male & Female waiting rooms.
I am currently pursuing M.Com from here. As this is an Open University, I can't really comment on the quality of teaching here. But there seems to be a lot of teaching staffs. In my opinion, the curriculum is almost up to date. And, yes the recent developments made in the field of commerce are surely included in the syllabus/curriculum. But, I must say that the Study Material provided by the University is definitely incomplete. It is incomplete in the sense that all the Study Materials provided are not in teo languages namely Hindi & English. Majority of them are in Hindi only, which limits it's acceptability by all the students. As this is a very important University for the students of all over Bihar, and is the only Open University of the state, providing of Study Materials in Hindi is also important. But the negatives of only providing it in one language can not also be ignored. And, I do think that this course will make it's students Job-ready if studied/completely seriously & sincerely.
Out of my very limited knowledge, I can only say that the placement record is very poor here. I can't comment on the number of placements here or the percentage of students getting placed. In the field of Placements, I must say the University definitely needs to care about & work upon.
The corses here offered are really offered & I must mention due the the efforts of Govt. Of Bihar, the female students also got a flat discount of 25% on every course. As far as my course i.e.,M.Com is concerned, it costs ₹5600/- a year for us Male students & a less of 25% for Female students. I feel completing M.Com from here is kind of worthy, if not totally worthy. The reason is that firstly, it is affordable in nature. Secondly, I think as the University conducts examination for course i.e., M.Com annually (I don't have any idea of other courses) it requires a little less efforts in giving examination & do saves time.
As far as campis life is concerned, I have the least campus life here by pursuing M.Com from thia University, of course because it is an Open University & we don't need to come in the University premises. The students, teachers & support staffs are almost everyone descent by nature. Also, it is very easy to reach as it is situated inaide ghe Biscomaun Bhavan building in one of Patna's most important areas namely Gandhi Maidan. The University area is fully equipped with CCTV cameras which makes it safer also. It also have preparations for emergency situation like fire.
I will definitely recommend atleast the following two things:- 1. The examination schedule needs to be approximately fixed for every year, which will make examinations convenient than ever for students. 2. The Study Materials must be provided in atleast two languages i.e.,Hindi as well as English, which will benefit students from most of the backgrounds.
College has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment which are required for us. Classroom has white boards and they ate well maintained .The living spaces are clean and food are very hygienic.
I was doing post graduation diploma in finance management. Campus has good environment and equipment for students. One of the finest and highly qualified faculties available in University for all the courses.
The University has overall more than 50% placements in all professional courses. Students for this University has been placed and working in many renowned organizations in all over India and abroad also.
MY university provide only the basic infrastructure and facilities required for distance education because it offers distance learning programs. There are limited no of classroom for counselling classes and exam as well as library,wi-fi, lab and laboratories. There is no hostel and sports centres.
I studied BCA from there. There are lots of career opportunity for students after BCA such as software developer, database administrator, web developer, system analyst and so on. As my university conduct 1 month of counselling classes before exam where i got chance to learn from experienced teacher.
As it is a open university that offer distance learning programs so it does not provide placement services to students. But it offers various resources and support services to help students achieve their career goals.
All the facilities was best. Libraries was good for studies. Wifi facilities was available for the student. Classroom was well maintain. Hygienic condition was up-to mark. Teaching faculty was knowledgeable.
I did B.A geography (honours). Quality of education was good. I study BA geography (honours) so that I can prepare for UPSC. It was a open university due to which ample amount of time is available for study.
There was a very less Number of placement in this college. Because all the courses was open. But if you studies well you can get a placement in any where in India. If you get placement through university you will get good amount of salary.
2700 yearly.
It was a open university.Due to which I get a lot of time for my studies.
It was a best university for whom, who wanted to prepare for job.
