You should select the 6 yrs option because the one in 5 yrs would not offer internship. 6 yr course would definitely offer you with internship. Internships are must for a medical student. The more you practice the better you become. Generally in 5.5 yr duration 4.5 is for study and 1 yr for internship. So in this case, it must be 5+ 1

The application form for Ph.D., Super Speciality, Postdoctoral, Postgraduate, Diploma, B.Sc. and Certificate Courses will be released by the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS). The application form will be released in online mode only at nimhans.ac.in
The application form is available online now and last date to apply for it is 31st January 2020.

Rahul, the online application form for NIMHANS has not been released yet. The form is expected to release in January 2020 and you can fill the application form till February 2020 tentatively. The exact dates have not been released yet by the officials. Once it is released, you can find the link on their official website. Hope that helps.

Online application for NIMHANS post MBBS exam 2020  July Session will start from Second Week of January 2020 tentatively and candidates will be able to register themselves for the same till Second Week of February 2020. Exam will be on last week of March 2020.

NIMHANS admit students through the online entrance examination and interview. Advertisement for the courses will begin from the month of January every year and exams will be conducted around the month of March. They offer M.Sc courses only in Nursing and Biostatistics. So you may apply for M.Phil or PhD in neuroscience.

I understand that you are facing some technical discrepancy associated with you viewing your application form and so to answer your question, wait for a day or two and continuously keep checking to see if the website opens or try opening it from a computer which might be the result of some technical snag.

If the problem still persists then address this matter to the appropriate authorities by post or by mail while clearly stating your issue and request them to resolve your issue so that you can open the same.

The new session for NIMHANS 2020 will start from 3rd week of January, online registration will start in 3rd week of January and end in 3rd week of February 2020.

Exam date will be in between 4th week of March.

And the results will be declared in 1st week of April.

With bsc the exam date will be in between 3rd week of April.and the result will be in 4th week of April.

Interview will be in 1st week of May.


Admission in 1st week of June.

That's the proposed schedule and the clear dates will be declared in January.

Well in aggregate marks you will have to fill up the total of your marks scored by you in all of your papers.
In aggregate percentage you will have to fill up your percentage that you scored.
Both are different and hence should be filled up differently.

About 20,000 aspirants take the NIMHANS entrance exam for entry into 6 year DM/MCh and 3 year MD Psychiatry at NIMHANS.
This blog will familiarize you with various details pertaining to the NIMHANS entrance such as the Scheme and Pattern of Exam, Important Dates and some preparation tips.
 NIMHANS is an online objective pattern PG Entrance Exam conducted for admission to direct M.Ch. Neurosurgery/DM Neurology and MD Psychiatry courses.
A common entrance exam is conducted for all these courses and a separate Merit list is published for every course.
The exam is conducted twice a year – for the January and the July session.
