North-Eastern Hill University placement cell students in their placements and training requirements. As per the NIRF placement report 2024, a total of 7 undergraduate students and 78 postgraduate students were placed during North-Eastern Hill University placements 2023. North-Eastern Hill University's median salary offered to UG students was Rs 3.8 LPA.

NEHU Shillong placement cell provides pre-placement training like personality development training, resume writing, conducting group discussions, mock interviews, organising seminars, guest lectures, industrial visits and workshops, etc. NEHU Shillong's median salary offered to PG students was Rs 4.8 LPA. Placements

The placements are scarce but nice. As it is a central university, the placements should be a bit more better. But overall it is not as bad. Let's hope in the near future the placement situation will be better than now.

Unfortunately, we were the Covid batch and so were no able to explore much on that front. Ihis is also something that differs from Department to Department. During my short time in the campus, I was able to attend a few workshops that were geared towards developing soft skills and employability.

I suppose the placements facilities are also available for the pre graduate students. I am currently in 1st year so i don't have any idea but what i have heard from my seniors is that the university also provides placement opportunities for the final years MBA students as well as other departments.
