Students Review for JNU Delhi

Overall a nice experience till now.

Placements

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is known for its emphasis on academic and research pursuits over direct campus placements, particularly for humanities and social sciences students. However, for fields like MBA, MCA, and sciences, JNU has an active placement cell that organizes workshops, career counseling, and industry interaction sessions. Some reputed companies such as TCS, Wipro, and Oracle participate in placement drives, offering opportunities mainly to students in technical and management programs. The alumni network plays a crucial role, offering mentorship and networking opportunities. However, placements and salary packages may not be as extensive as those found in IITs or IIMs, due to JNU’s academic focus. Still, for students interested in research or public-sector careers, JNU offers valuable support and is continually improving its placement structure to cater to evolving career paths.
