Presidency University in Kolkata is a public state university, accredited grade 'A' by the NAAC. The university offers Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Arts and Ph.D programmes.

Presidency University offers Bachelor of Science in Geology programme over a period of three years. Candidates are required to have passed their Class 12 examinations with a minimum of 70%, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. The syllabus for english entrance is basic grammar, knowledge of critical analysis, familiarity of the authors and the literary works and the evolution of english literature.

As far as History is concerned, go through the NCERTs. They do not want you ro know exactly everything that's happened in the past but a basic knowledge of the events and the causes of the epic moments.
