Balasahab Apte College of Law, Mumbai . It is one of the premier institutions in Maharashtra for legal education. It follows merit-based admission process and takes the most deserving candidates into the law programs offered by the college. It is located at the heart of the city, in Mumbai, affiliated to the University of Mumbai, and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The admission process in Adv. Balasahab Apte College of Law is mainly based on the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Law, which is a state-level entrance examination for law aspirants in Maharashtra. This exam is an important criterion for admission to different law programs offered by the college.
Therefore, aspiring candidates are advised to prepare themselves accordingly for this examination as it would be the foundation for merit-based admissions into the college's law programs. Eligibility criteria for intake are different with each program. The five years integrated programs under BA LLB and BLS LLB needs 10 +2 education from a concerned board. The three year LLB, requires a three-year bachelor's degree.
Total three law degrees are offered under the college namely:BA LLB (5 -year integrated), BLS LLB (5 years integrated), LLB (Three years).
Application Process

There are a few steps involved in the application process:
1. MHCET Law Examination: Get registered and appear for the MHCET Law examination, which usually takes place in March.
2. MHCET Law Result: Once the results are declared, check your scores and ranking.
3. Application Form: Go to the official website of the college or contact them to get the application form.
4. Filling application form: Filling up of the form needs to be very careful and also the personal details as well as educational details to be filled are quite long.
5. Submission of documents: There can be documents submitted by the applicant along with the application. This may include;

7. Counseling : If selected; then, she will have counseling for seat booking.
8. Admission process : After selection in the respective courses, admission forms are submitted upon payment of any amount asked through original documents as verification.
Degree wise Admission Procedure
BA LLB: The intake here is 120 seats in an integrated five-year program. The program is through merit based on performance in MHCET Law entrance exam. Applicants should have qualified their 10+2 degree from a well-recognized board.
BLS LLB: MHCET Law scores are also considered for admission to the five-year integrated program in Bachelor of Legal Studies and Bachelor of Laws.
LLB: The three-year LLB has 60 seats. Admission occurs on the basis of scores on MHCET law. All applicants need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from an approved university to become eligible for the course.
