ARJ Polytechnic College, starting operations in 2007, is one of the leading technical colleges situated in Thiruvarur, Tamilnadu. Located on a large campus of 100 acres, the college has a wide choice of 6 diploma programmes in engineering disciplines. ARJ Polytechnic College had got AICTE approval hence the College stands among the premier institutions to offer quality technical education in the region. This entitles the institute with a total student strength of 546 and faculty strength of 83 making it easier for students to get personal attention from their teachers bringing effectiveness to their learning process.

According to the college vision, the college is focused on delivering the best education and an efficient system of supporting infrastructure to cater for the needs of all students. There exists different hostels for boys and girls to ensure out-station students get decent accommodation within the campus. A full service library is a knowledge center and modern sophisticated laboratories to facilitate knowledge acquisition through practical learning in all branches of engineering disciplines. This college also has an auditorium to organize events and seminars which certainly contributes to the overall college spirit. For the benefit of the students, the school has a cafeteria where students may order healthy meals. Infrastructural provisions are made toward health with a facility for a health centre together with first aid amenities within the camp. Currently, ARJ Polytechnic College is fully accredited to offer six full time Government approved Diploma courses each of three years duration. These courses cut across different engineering fields and interest, to meet the needs of the various engineering profession. The total approved intakes for all the courses offered in the institution is 510 seats in order to enhance competition among students who have intentions of becoming engineers.
