AVS College of Technology started in the year 2013 in Salem and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai – Tamil Nadu. The Baijal is a private engineering College approved by AICTE that excels in offering a choice of undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses. Situated in a sprawling 10 acre land, AVS College of Technology has an enrolment of 1165 students and 94 faculty members. The institute provides 9 courses at two different levels of degrees, majoring in different branches of engineering. AVS College of Technology has wide range of modern equipment to facilitate different forms of learning processes of the students. The university operates an up to date library which accommodates over 17,088 books, eighty journals and one thousand five hundred and eighty eight E-journals, managed by BAR-CODE technology. Most of the IT infrastructure consists of a 5400 sq.ft Internet Centre equipped with the state of the art computer systems and air conditioned. For physical development and recreation, students are provided with both standard gymnasium and various playing fields. The college also has two fully-fledged air conditioned seminar halls with seating capacity of 500 and 250 respectively and are used for both academic and cultural activities.

The following students are eligible for admission to the college: Admission into AVS College of Technology is normally through merit. For B.E./B.Tech programmes, candidates must have a least 45% marks in your 10+2 / Diploma exams. For B.Tech admission the college undergoes counselling for TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions). For M.E./M.Tech programs the candidate must have passed the Bachelor degree examination with not less than 50% marks.
