BMCH Chitradurga Facilities
Basaveshwara Medical College, Chitradurga provides many infrastructural facilities to the students and faculty such as a pharmacology lab, anatomy lab, library with a collection of books, an auditorium for extracurricular activities, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, healthcare facilities for an emergency, separate hostels for boys and girls, transportation for travelling. Various other facilities like wi-fi, museum, lecture theatre, etc are also available for the students.
- Laboratory: BMCH has various laboratories and museums for each department so that students can have practical knowledge.
- Library: The Library has a mixed collection of both print and electronic formats, which include books, journals, databases, CDs/DVDs, e-journals, reports, etc.
- Auditorium: BMCH has an open-air auditorium inside the campus that can be used for conducting extracurricular activities, annual functions, events, etc.
- Playground: Several indoor and outdoor games are available for the students. Sports events and tournaments are also organised where students can participate.
- Healthcare Facility: The college provides medical facilities to the students for any illness or emergency. An ambulance is also available inside the campus.
- Hostel: BMCH has separate hostels for boys and girls. It also provides other facilities like sports facilities, dining facilities, etc for them.
- Transportation: The institute provides travelling facilities to the local students and staff to travel between the college and their home.

The College has a sports 200 mts track with six lanes of nonstandard track, one concrete court of Basketball, two volleyball courts, two throw ball courts, two cricket grounds, two football fields, two hockey fields, two kho-kho courts & a tennis court (Clay). One badminton court, table tennis, board facilities to play chess and carom.
- I.T Infrastructure
The Medical College has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
- Cafeteria
The college cafeteria team prepares fresh meals every day on-site. As well as a range of wholesome, nutritious, and delicious snacks and meals for all, the team also provides for students with special dietary needs.
- Auditorium
The College has a well-equipped auditorium with seating for over 400 people and serves as the venue for the regular conferences, workshops, and seminars that are part of the learning process at Basaveshwara Medical College & Hospital. A Medical Education Department set up to enhance the quality of education dedicates itself to implementing continuous improvement in standards.
It is a venue for cultural activities it is also designed to accommodate sporting activity and games.
The auditorium is spacious, well-ventilated, and furnished halls. It also offers facilities such as LCD and OHP projectors, screens, and whiteboards for delivering lectures.
- Transport Facility
The College has 15 buses to ferry students from the hostels to the hospital and other peripheral rural health centres for teaching and training programmes. 3 vans are available for the staff and the students who provide community healthcare services. 5 ambulances are attached to AH & RC, which are made available round-the-clock, and each one of them is equipped with cardiopulmonary resuscitators with trained and qualified medical and paramedical staff, emergency drugs and oxygen cylinders. Being a referral hospital, the ambulance service is made use of to bring the patients from the neighbouring hospitals and districts. Educational tours are conducted periodically by using the college omnibus services.

The fees of MBBS is different from college to college. It mainly depends on the type of institution. Government colleges have less fees as compared to private medical colleges. It may range from Rs 15000 to Rs 50 Lakhs. It is advisable to check the fee structure of the college of your choice before admission.
