BIT Sindri Admission Process

BIT Sindri, Dhanbad offers admissions at the undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, with B.Tech and M.Tech being the courses available. BIT Sindri UG admissions are granted based on the marks obtained in the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) followed by participation in the counselling process.

The BIT Sindri lateral entry admissions to diploma holders in engineering and technology are made in the 3rd semester through a competitive examination conducted separately for them. For BIT Sindri PG admissions, candidates must possess a valid score on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and pass a written test and interview conducted by BIT Sindri. The number of seats through lateral entry in all branches is 10% of the normal seats.

Candidates can apply for admission in any specialisations of the 11 BIT Sindri B.Tech courses, which have a duration of 4 years. It also provides lateral entry admissions in the 3rd semester of the B.Tech programme through competitive examinations conducted separately for the diploma holders.

BIT Sindri B.Tech Admission Process

After clearing the exam, candidates must appear for counselling conducted by the JCECE board.
Candidates must choose the desired course and choose BIT Sindri, Dhanbad as their desired institution during counselling.
Candidates must get their documents verified and pay the admission fees for final admissions.

BIT Sindri M.Tech Admission 2025

Candidates can apply for admission to any of the 15 BIT Sindri M.Tech courses. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements and have a valid GATE score are eligible for a monthly stipend as per the AICTE / Government-approved norms. Non-GATE candidates can also apply for admissions but they would not receive any stipend.

The professors here are very knowledgeable and student friendly. They taught us very well starting from the basics. The syllabus followed here is not so updated but there are many clubs and societies run by seniors and professors which help us very much to be job ready and gain knowledge and skills related to placements.

is it possible to take admission directly in bit mesra or bit sindri

Hi,

Generally BIT MESRA and BIT SINDRI offer admission to its course through its entrance Test.

Direct admission to Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra and BIT sindri is possible only for candidates who score first rank in all central and state exams in India. Otherwise you will have to appear the entrance Test to get admission.
