Ece is far better than most courses at CCET

In Ece you'll get better jobs in offices in core or you can find job same as a CSC.

They have a unique placement cell

CCET would be a better choice than UIET, Hoshiarpur, in all the branches

Similarities between both the colleges:

1. Both affiliated to Punjab University thereby follow its curriculum.
2. Syllabus, Exams all undertaken by PU, thereby same.
3. Number of branches offered are major 4 for both colleges.

Advantages CCET has over UIET, Hoshiarpur:

1. Located in Chandigarh, all opportunities are easy to access. (CSIO labs, TBRL labs chandigarh etc ).
2. Better faculty for all departments at CCET. (Newly appointed by UGC).
3. Renowned techno-cultural fest-Apratim organised by CCET.
4. Better extra curricular activities and clubs for over all personality development.
5. Preparing for competitive exams is easier while living in a city which is an education hub.

As the trends say the ranks of the government colleges under JAC, Chandigarh are as follows:

1. PEC University of Technology
2. UIET , Chandigarh
3. UICET,Chandigarh (Preference dependent)

Mechanical at UIET chandigarh is more worth than ECE at CCET since CCET is a private college and in comparison UIET is much better also you get much better placements at UIET than CCET chandigarh.

You can always change your domains if you want to after 1 year at UIET by getting a good score.

Hi prazy, first of all congrats for 1.9 lakh rank in jee mains 2019. Considering your rank you there is a fair chance that you can get into ECE department. So don't missout the registration process. Do participate in the counselling. Chandigarh college of Engineering and Technology has good placements ratio. And it's increasing day by day. So, there is no any issues regarding the placement. Look, in any colleges even in IIT'S  they can't give you conformity. It's totally depends on the candidates how good he / she good at their skill set.
