Infrastructure is good.It has parks where anyone can go when they feel like going...still I feel girls' hostel in time should be given some relaxation so that they feel a little more free to move inside the campus.Other than that in libraries there is mostly shortage of academic books.
Focus is more on attendance and assignments submission not practical environment given that much which should make us placement ready. Some subjects are unrequitted such as egd or workshop or chemistry or physics.
Some trainings are provided that is very nice. But still some teachers are not that good. They themselves get confused while teaching and it is more sort of they are studying themselves rather than teaching at that time.
Yes they do value for our money.Fees is affordable and they give some time relaxation for students who sometimes get trouble paying fees due to some reasons. They provide us with a nice environment and facilities.
Campus life is nice.Students should be given training and asked to make projects that work in real. So that even if they fail they will learn something at least rather than making them copying assignments and writing workshop files of more than 150 pages.
It has been a good experience it's just there is more strictness regarding attendance than it is required. And less focus on main stream computer science in the starting year so that students can get industrial view amd learn accordingly.
Wi-Fi facilities aren't available throughout the campus. Classrooms and labs are well equipped with all necessary things required. Projectors are available in all classrooms for smart education. Food is same as of rest hostels but sometimes it isn't good enough to be consumed.
Im studying B. Tech in CSE. The curriculum which we followed was of 2011batch and was about the technology at that time and was updated only for 2018 fresh and not for us. The basics of algorithms and Logics is stronf enough to study any language
College provides complete 360 degree placement around the year for final year students with highest package being of 34 LPA and average being 5LPA. College has tie ups with most of the companies. Industrial training is provided by these companies only.
86000 per year excluding examination fees
The college provides us with essential requirements. But they are not up to the mark. Like we have almost every book in the library that we need but there are fewer books as compared to the number of students. The playgrounds are fine but all the time some construction work goes on. Hostels are spacious and students are provided with a wi-fi connection. Despite a few shortcomings, the lush green environment is something that soothes one's mind.
I am pursuing B.Tech. CSE. We are provided with experienced teaching staff, giving their best, and helping the students with their valuable advice and suggestions. All the faculties always try to bring the best in us.
Placement records here are the real reason for taking admission in this college. I have been intrigued by the highest package of 35 LPA and the placement offers given to the students. The average salary offered
I am among those percentiles of students who think that we get our money's worth to a great extent.
Campus Life is one of those things that one must experience in their whole lifetime. And campus life here is undoubtedly good with its safe locality and lush green environment.
The college provides all the necessary infrastructure. There are different blocks of each course. Each block has its own libraray with all the necessary books. The hostels are clean and are available for both boys and girls. There is a food court providing all types of foods.
As compare to other private colleges, the academics of this college is amazing. The teachers provide all the deepest knowledege of the subjects. The faculty is decent and encourage students. There is a special training given to students for placements.
The placements are the best. Over 500 companies visit the campus for hiring students. Every year thousands of students get placed in reputed companies. The average package offered is from 6-7 LPA. The college supports students at every point.
The fees is less and affordable. The fees per semester is around 43,000. All the required facilities and infrastructure is provided. The money is worth here.
The campus is very clean and big. There are many places to sit and enjoy with friends. Every facilty is available in the campus only.
College have great infrastructure ,they provide everything which is needed. They do proper attention to the hygieness in college as well as hostels.they also provide us all equipment for extra curricular activities like sports , annual function and let student organise all the event which are beneficial for them.
Teacher put equal effort to make students clear about their acedmic and other info as well. They provide us each and every details regarding current requirements of the companies which skills companies looking in the students and what kind of answer they want to her from them.
College do provide placement opportunity to students and also provide extra classes of appti and amcat too make us capable for placement. They also guide us on others things like dress, posture, do & don't .
We will not regret after using money because they provide every facility , help from teacher and every equipment and also organised so many events .
Mine was amazing. Teachers are very helpful and supporting and they organise mamy events for students to take parts and also conduct practice gd and pi session .
Once u take admission u will get great exposure .
The college consists of everything that a typical college should've. Opportunities in the department of sports, literary , cultural etc. are provided to the students. The surroundings are clean and green. There's a food court where you get almost everything one wants to have.
To be honest, in every college where ever you go you need to study more by yourself. In our college teachers are always there to help you in every possible way they can, but still if I talk about class room teaching, I would rate it average... But there is a special training provided to the students via TPP for the placements and honestly they prepare you overall... And I would rate that 5/5 as this makes us job-ready.
The placements of our college has been one of the best in North India. Over 300 companies visit our college every year to hire the students. The placement package for almost every department is good enough be it HMCT Or Computer Science Engineering
infrastricturw is fine in the given fees thw labs are pretty fine the classroom are aery too also the labs are air conditionered . wifi is their in hostel food, cleaning all are done on time they are well maintained
not that much great but still ok for college level academics . professors wre not that much knowledgeable but still they are helpful but the teachers of tpp are very good . their main emphasis is on attendance
the placement level has been preety high for the college . CGC has a separate department for placement tpp . top companies do visit the college anually . colllege is very supportive in placemetns too a
All the infrastructure is good, facilities and equipments.. But classrooms not upto mark, fans do not work properly in all classes, where as spaces clean and hygienic. Hostels are not upto mark needs a lot of Maintainiance.
Everything fine with studies. Notes are provides by the faculty on time, curriculum also updated and if done all properly good scope of getting job and known for placements. Teaching faculty is good. All fine
Cgc is known for placements so every year thousands of students get placed.. Max placements are for computer science and engineering, and college is quite supportive, so overall max students get placed
The college has well equipped labs. The classroom are well managed. There is 24 hre Wifi facility. There are libraries in every department. The canteen food is hygienic and the campus is always tidy and clean. There are lot of trees in campus.
I am pursuing bachelor of commerce (honours) because it is one of the best college in Northern India. It has a great placement offer and the teaching staff is too much supportive. The development chance of one's personality is quite amazing.
The placement criterion is best. The average salary is 3 to 5 lakhs which is a quite handsome package for a bachelor student. The student having 75% above can sit into a drive. The process of placement is pleasant and students get good support in every stage of process.
The course fees is 23500/sem and 43500/sem is hostel fees.
The life of campus is amazing and pleasant. No ragging environment. The location is outside the main city but it's safe.
When talking about infrastructure it's average. Other facilities are - Entire campus is wifi enabled including hostel. Fully functional libray in the campus. Sports facilities are not that good.other than that everything is just fine.
I am a student from batch 2021 .In my time we had outdated syllabus and we are the last one to have that syllabus.now the new batch has different syllabus better than ours. Cgc has great academic with highly qualified teachers.
The main reason to choose cgc was the placements.cgc has the best placements . Many top notch companies visit the campus like google, Amazon , microsoft and students get placed in these company too. So yes placementa are good
Great experience
Hi,
Joint placement program- the placements of both the colleges happen together, so I guess it wouldn't be a deciding factor.
Establishment- Chandigarh university was setup in 2012, while Chandigarh group of colleges was setup in 2001. Bonus points for cgc!
Exposure- If you're thinking that you would get a better exposure and culture at CU because it's a university, then, hello? CGC also offers other programs than engineering ! Doesn't the name clarifies it all? CHANDIGARH GROUP OF COLLEGES! Duh!
Advertising- have you ever come across an ad welcoming you to join cgc? But you must have noticed the television commercials and newspaper advertisement of Chandigarh university. I have. Cgc wins here too.
Scholarship- Chandigarh university beats cgc here, one can avail 50% tuition fees discount here just by scoring 9.6 or above cgpa in X class. Bingo right? Wrong, after the deduction of 50% fees, the amount you will have to pay would be equal to what you'll pay at cgc. So I guess minus points for cu for using such gimmicks.
All in all, cgc would be a better choice among the two. :)
hi,
Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology and chandigarh group of colleges both has excellent college infrastructure, wifi campus, excellent faculty, state of art lab technology etc. however placement is moderate in both of the colleges, while cgc landra has better placement record, almost 80% students get placed and have average packages around 4.5 lpa. where mmmut has average packages around 3.6 lpa.
