The College has Our Polytechnic boys accommodated in the Kailash Block of the Hostel Complex. The general management of the Hostel shall be vested with the Principal who is also the Chief Warden. He is assisted by the Deputy Warden and the Resident Tutor. The application for admission to the hostel shall be made to the warden in the prescribed form with a registration fee. The details of Hostel Fees, Room Rent, other Establishment Charges, and Mess Bill payment can be obtained from the Hostel Office. The hostel runs a dispensary managed by a qualified pharmacist. The cost of medicines supplied to the inmates will be recovered from them along with their hostel dues.
The College has a separate library with a collection of text and reference books, magazines and journals, CD-ROMs, etc. All the students/staff members are given an identity card bearing their bar-coded roll number/identity number. Every faculty and student is eligible to borrow five and two books at a time respectively. Books will be issued only on the presentation of identity cards. Books on dues should be returned on or before the due date. With a view to helping the poor and deserving students, a Book Bank has been functioning in the Institute since 1976. The College has a Red Ribbon Club at CIT Sandwich Polytechnic College was established in the year 2006. Red Ribbon has been an international symbol of HIV/AIDS awareness since 1991. The objective of the Red Ribbon Club is to create awareness among students on STD/HIV/AIDS and make them effective peer educators within and outside the campus in collaboration with Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society. Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a movement started by the Government of India in educational institutes through which students will be made aware of AIDS and it stands in support of those who suffer from AIDS. It is a youth initiative on HIV/AIDS. The activities are implemented through the National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell by conducting Awareness Programmes and Blood Donation Camps.
