ADMISSION

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions ( TNEA ) is conducted by Anna University. The application form for which can be filled in both online and offline mode. Application fee can be paid online or via DD or cash.

• Candidates who have passed class 12 th from Tamil Nadu are eligible for TNEA.
• Applicants belonging to Tamil Nadu only will be considered for admission. However, children of central Government employees not domiciled in Tamil Nadu have to provide a valid certificate of their parents who have been serving continuously for more than five years at the time of submission of application.

By refering your tnea and comminity rank(BC) you don't have a chance to get seat in Mechanical Engineering for Coimbatore Institute of Technology since the last year closing rank is 3326 for Mechanical Engineering.

Based on your rank in Tnea you are not eligible for Coimbatore Institute of Technology if you belong to the general category. The cutoffs are much lower than your rank for general category. as per your tnea rank 2019 you will definetily  both  COIMBATORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AS WELL AS GOVERNMENT INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY COIMBATORE.

PACEMENT CRITERIA IN CIT:Placements in the college are good. Many good companies visit the college for placements. The college doesn't provide any training for the placements. In the year 2018, the highest salary package offered was 33.01 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Many top companies visited the college namely DE Shaw, Samsung, and Amazon, etc., to offer placements. Mass recruiters are TCS, CTS, Infosys, and Accenture also visit the campus. There is a placement cell which does nothing for the placements of students.
