The college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, air-conditioned classrooms, library, and canteen. Every student has a Wi-Fi ID. Medical facilities are available. A different type of sports are available, and students get a maximum winning prize when they participate.
Most of them were well qualified. While others were pursuing their master degree. Teachers were quite helpful and knowledgeable. EEE companies are mostly PSUs and for that, you have to crack GATE etc. And so the course curriculum is much relevant to the competitive exam.
The college provides good placements for those who deserve and suitable for it. Companies select the students according to their performance and additional skills. The lowest and highest salary is offered to the students. About 60% of the students from our course got an internship.
Wi-Fi is installed in all the blocks of the college and the speed of the internet is also pretty good. Labs are provided for every dedicated subject.The library is one of the good things in the institute where you can issue books for yourself.
Teachers in our college are well qualified and are having very good bookish knowledge. They are very kind and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant, and teachers and college make students industry-ready with the help of knowledge, practice and with various projects.
Placements provided by the college are good ( above 80% ) enough for students who want to do something in their future. Companies like Wipro, Samsung, TCS, Infosys etc. came every year for the recruitment of students. Average package offered by the companies are between 3.5 - 5 lacs/annum.
There are good facilities available in our college. We have Wi-Fi available for everyone, and I like the library most because it is air-conditioned and has books with good quality. Hostels are also very good. There are rooms available with air-conditioners and without air-conditioners.
Professors are good at teaching. Highly experienced professors are there.Course curriculum is relevant and it is upto the mark. Course requires more practical sessions with different company software engineers, so that the students can gain more practical knowledge about the subjects.
Around 75-80% students got placed in our course. The highest package - 12 lpa, the lowest package- 2.5lpa and average- 4 lpa. Top companies - Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Zscaler, ST electronics, JARO, cognizant. 30% students got internship in Zapbuild, Signicent, Emicon companies.
The food served in the canteen is average. There is no variety, and even the quality is not up to the mark though. They are improving it each year but maybe by the time I pass from college they may improve. Sports facilities should be open to all, and regular coaching should be provided.
Good faculty with great in depth knowledge of the course. They inspire students by more practical exposure as well as with application based teaching. Most of the faculty has good professional exposure in the field. Teachers give their 100% to teach the students .
The average salary package offered in our college is around 5 LPA. STMicroelectronics, Zscaler, Axis Bank are some of the recruiting companies for our college. Companies visit here to hire students from various backgrounds like CSE, IT, electrical and mechanical engineering. Banks mainly recruit MBA students.
There is a Wi-Fi facility in our college. Every student is provided with their own unique Id by our college to access Wi-Fi facility. The library is well-equipped with books, and the latest edition books are also available in our library. Medical facilities are also available in our college.
Faculty members in our college are helpful. With time, the course curriculum is getting better for upcoming graduates.Students have to put their efforts in order to get fit into this competitive world and secure their future for better placement.
Placements are really good for technical branches but for the core branches, it is average. Talking about the opportunities there are a lot of activities such as mock interviews and aptitude tests for the students to do well during the interviews.
College has a well maintained world class library where students can find good course related and other books with high tech computers with well internet connectivity. Hostels are well maintained and clean.Mess food is also good.
Teachers here are well qualified, and they are helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching style is awesome, and they are available to help us and ready to solve our doubts. They are humble and provided us with a lot of assignments so that we can learn new things. The course curriculum is fine.
Only 5-10% of the students get selected from college, and the rest all is fake. Only 2-3 companies came to offer internships. All work is to be done by the student without any help of teachers in building their career. Currently, the job offered is as a software engineering candidate.
The infrastructure available for every course/department is good.Labs are also in good condition, and all the classrooms are spacious and airy. Some classrooms even have air-conditioners. The library of the college is beautifully built and maintained. You will surely love it.
The teachers are very helpful. You can call them at any time, and they will not refuse to solve your doubts. You can also share other problems with them. Apart from studies, they will also boost your confidence to participate in multiple events.
Around 70% of students get on-campus placements and the rest find jobs off-campus. IT companies come for placements and no core companies. The highest salary package was 10 LPA and the average salary package is 3 LPA. Chandigarh-based companies come for placements.
Infrastructure is fine. There is Wi-Fi but the speed is average. There is a monthly limit for the students using the Internet.Quality of food in the hostel is good. There are sports activities and many students won the gold medal in inter-university competitions.
The teachers here are qualified, helpful and knowledgeable.In terms of theoretical, the course curriculum is relevant. The curriculum focuses only or majorly on the theory part. Semester exams are average. The pass percentage ranges from 60% to 75%.
The placements in DAVIET are good. Companies like Wipro, TCS, etc., come here. The average package offered is 4-6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 12 LPA. Approximately 60-70% of students get placed every year with good packages. The training and placement department is very supportive.
The classrooms are well-equipped with projector screens and sound system in each class. Wi-Fi facility is in the entire campus. The library is the best thing in this college, with good interior, every type of books available and also an e-learning section available. Canteen food is good.
The staff and faculty of our college are top-notch. Teachers are very helpful, cooperative and interactive with their students. Their teaching methods are also good. Yes, the curriculum made students capable of real-world applications.
More than 50% of students in our batch got placed before the start of this new year. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, the average salary package is 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package is 3 LPA. Many companies like Paxcom, Grey, etc., offer placements in our college. Software engineer or developer roles are offered.
Wi-Fi facility is available in every block. Labs and classrooms are average. The library has old edition books. I am a day scholar so can't say about the hostel. Some students like the food served in the mess.
The teachers are decently qualified with good skills.There are 2 mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam, difficult ranging from medium to hard. Pass percentage is 40%. Mid-semester exams contribute to the internal marks of each subject.
More than 90% of students are placed every year in reputed companies; the highest package is 15 LPA for freshers, and the average package is 4–7 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, GreyB, etc. 100% of students got internships.

In my opinion, you should go for CGC Landran which is among one of the best colleges in Chandigarh. You can go for PU Patiala as well.
Now regarding CSE branch, the faculty at CGC Landran is far better than the other two ones. So there is no doubt in choosing CGC college for better academics.
CGC Landran has a placement rate of 90% with more than 600 companies visiting every year. DAVIET college has a placement rate of 85%. Considering previous year's placement records for PU Patiala, the college had 100% placements by 36 companies but the average package isn't high and ranges between 4-6 lakhs on an average.

There are two important things that you should consider while choosing a branch.
i) Interest: If you are too much into cars, machines and stuff then he should go for Mechanical Engineering, if you are not that specific about it then you can go for ECE. Electronics and Communication branch has got wider options and easier life compared to Mechanical Engineers. I have my mechanical friends who are placed in good companies earning a little less than EC E guys but sweating a lot more than ECE people and also the company location is in remote places and the job is more demanding and hectic.
ii) strengths and future: One most important thing that slips off everybody’s head is that, finally for placements what all it takes? Is it how much you have scored or how much yow know or your soft skills what you have developed during these four years?
As far as your aggregate score, it should be more than the cut off of the companies, these days its around 8/10 (CGPA) for all engineering branches.
Now if you are in mech and you want to get into best of the best companies then you definitely need good management skills and it doesn’t matter how sound you are technically. This soft skill plays a crucial role in placements, I have seen people who are toppers in the department but got placed after average scorers because of poor management skills.
But in ECE, companies are not so much specific about management skills, all they ask for is how good you are in your subjects.
Regarding future, if he is going to go for MS or M.Tech then he should choose the branch by his interest and if he is going MBA he may go for ECE as ECE is considered as a tougher branch to get into when compared to Mechanical Engineering.
