Deccan Education Society, Gulbarga, and is considered one of the best educational institutions in the state of Karnataka, India for courses dealing with teacher education. Admission policy and its plan are great to select the students qualified enough within its diversified streams of education courses. College has also obtained accreditation from National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE, and has four courses on full-time basis. Admission into the Deccan Education Society, Gulbarga is a few months in advance to the new academic year. Merit-based admission to the college takes place on the basis of marks secured in qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests. The institution strictly follows the state government norms of Karnataka, University, and UT Administration. For undergraduate courses such as B.Ed and D.Ed, it is mandatory for the candidates to have passed the higher secondary course (10+2) of a recognized board. For the postgraduate level, such as M.Ed, a bachelor's degree in the related field is considered.

Application procedure for Deccan Education Society, Gulbarga are as follows:-

1. Eligibility: The candidate must fulfill the academic eligibility criteria of the particular course (B.Ed, M.Ed, D.Ed).

2. Application Form: Download from college website or obtain from admission office.

3. Filing Application Form: Fill the application form with all necessary personal and academic details.

4. Attach Relevant Documents: All relevant documents attached by the applicant.

• Passport size photographs
• Qualifying examination mark sheets
• Transfer certificate
• Character certificate
• Caste certificate, if applying for the reserved category
• Any other testimonials that the college demands

5. Application Form: The form provided by the applicant should be appropriately filled and sent with the relevant supporting documents to the admission department of the college by the last date fixed by the college.

6. Entrance Examination: If yes, then attend entrance examination as called by the respective college or associated university.

7. Merit List: In accordance with its admission policy, it will prepare merit list based upon marks obtained at the qualifying examinations and/or the entrance exam

8. Verification of Documents Candidates shortlisted from the process for document verification may be called as all original documents.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The B.Ed course at Deccan Education Society, Gulbarga, has an approved intake of 100 seats. Admission is strictly based on merit considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection process follows the policy of the state government, UT Administration, and the university norms.

B.Ed for Women: It has an approved intake of 100 seats. Admission process is the same as for the general B.Ed programme with merit-based selection based on qualifying examination marks and/or entrance examination results, as decided by the state government and UT Administration.

M.Ed: The M.Ed course has 50 seats. Admission is strictly merit-based, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other selection process as specified by the state government, university, or UT Administration.

D.Ed The D.Ed course has an intake of 50 seats, and admission is merit-based, conducted on the marks secured in the qualifying examination or entrance examination conducted by the respective state government/UT Administration.
