Department of Ship Technology, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Ernakulam Admission Process

The Department of Ship Technology in Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) located at Ernakulam specializes in naval architecture and shipbuilding studies. It has become a name synonym for quality teaching in the field of marine engineering and allied subjects. CUSAT selects candidates for admission into the Department of Ship Technology having sound academic performances and aptitude for the maritime industry. For being mainly two programs: 4-year B.Tech in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding and 2-year M.Tech in Computer Aided Structural Analysis and Design. For M.Tech in Computer Aided Structural Analysis and Design:

  1. Write the GATE examination in the relevant engineering discipline.
  2. When CUSAT opens applications, get registered on the university's official website.
  3. Fill out the M.Tech application form by entering personal information, academic details, and GATE score.
  4. Upload degree certificate and mark sheets, GATE score card, and other required certificates.
  5. Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.
  6. Submit the completed application form.
  7. The selected candidates are called for further rounds of selection, if any.

Commonly, the admission process is conditional on the merit lists prepared on the basis of the scores achieved in the respective entrance examinations. The M.Tech program may incorporate other standards or hold interviews, but the existing information does not illuminate about this.

Admission Process Degree wise

B.Tech Naval Architecture and Ship Building: A 4-year undergraduate program with 40 seats available for admission based on JEE Main scores and a counseling process.
