54 MonthsBachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is four years six months inclusive of six months compulsory internship course offered by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
Eligibility Criteria
- Should have passed two years of pre-university examinations conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects individually.
- Should have passed any other examination conducted by Boards/Councils/Intermediate Examination established by State Government /Central Government and recognized as equivalent to a two years Pre-University examination by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences/Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with English as one of the subject and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and also individually.
- Candidates who have completed a Pre-University course with vocational Physiotherapy as their optional subject are eligible for this course.
Admission Details
Selection of the students for a course of Physiotherapy will be based on merit provided that:
· In case of admission on the basis of a qualifying examination, a candidate for admission to the BPT course must have passed individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and must have obtained not less than 45% marks.
· With respect to candidates belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, or category I, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology together in the qualifying examination are not less than 40% instead of 45% as above.
