ES Engineering College, Villupuram Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Gangetic Campus-Villupuram, the ES Engineering College at Villupuram awards various engineering degrees accredited by the Council of Architecture. The eligibility and admission process into the ES Engineering College is organized to help deserving candidates secure admission into its various undergraduate engineering programs. The admission process consists of two basic quotas: Government Quota 65% and Management Quota 35%. Under the Government Quota, the admissions are handled by Anna University through the Government of Tamil Nadu whereby the selection is made based on the marks obtained in +2 examinations in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Quite obviously, this is a thoughtful and merit-based selection for prospective engineers.

Management quota subscriptions are based on a merit prepared by the Consortium of Self Financing Colleges, implementing its directions from Government and the Honourable Supreme Court. This method permits fair proceedings while granting the colleges an amount of leeway in selection.  The ES Engineering College takes part in the AICTE fee waiver scheme; thus, 5% of its admissions are done under the scheme for helping economically backward but deserving students in pursuing engineering studies. As a norm, admission for the college shall commence as per the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) schedule, which usually starts in May-June for the academic year in August-September.

Application Process

The application procedure for ES Engineering College, Villupuram, depends on the quota applied for by the candidate:

For Government Quota (65% seats):

1. Register with Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), conducted by Anna University.
2. Fill out the online application form on the official TNEA website.
3. Upload all relevant documents (including +2 mark sheets, community certificate if applicable, any other relevant certificates).
4. Pay the application fee as specified by TNEA.
5. Attend the counseling session as scheduled by TNEA.
6. If a seat is allotted in ES Engineering College, report to the college for document verification and completion of admission process.

For Management Quota (35% seats):

1. Collect an application form from the college or download it from the college website.
2. Fill in the application form in all respects.

4. Submit the application form along with the required fee to the college.
5. Wait for the consortium to announce the merit list of the Consortium of Self Financing Engineering Colleges.
6. If selected, attend the counseling session in college for allotting the seats and confirmation of admission.

For AICTE Fee Waiver Scheme (5% seats):

1. Apply through the TNEA process with an interest in fee waiver.
2. Submit additional documents justifying the deduction, such as an income certificate and other proofs against validation.
3. Follow the TNEA counseling process for allotment of seats under the propositions.

Degree Wise Admission Process

B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering): ES Engineering College offers five B.E. programs: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The admissions processes for these programs are similar:

1. A Governmental Quota, which constitutes 65%. Admission is arranged by the Government of Tamil Nadu and selection is made based on +2 marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
2. The Management Quota, which constitutes 35%. Admission is on the basis of a merit list drawn by the Consortium of Self Financing Engineering Colleges.
3. AICTE Fee Waiver Scheme, which constitutes 5%. Admissions are on basis of merit-cum-means for students economically weaker.

The sanctioned intake differs from one program course to another:

• B.E. Mechanical Engineering: 120 seats
• B.E. Civil Engineering: 60 seats
• B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering: 60 seats
• B.E. Computer Science and Engineering: 60 seats
• B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering: 30 seats
